  1. An album of this magnitude will almost definitely be leaked. That's all that matters.
  2. He will be a staple in the world history books of our children, and their children, and so on. If you haven't watched his speech to the 2005 graduating class of Stanford University, you really should. My heart truly aches, but my mind is truly inspired to live like him!
  3. It's in a sealed box with a strict street date when it arrives to the retailers. The box also won't even say COLDPLAY, so I doubt anybody in transition opens the box. If somebody in distribution wants to be ballsy enough to directly shit where they eat, then that's another story.
  4. My guess is that it should be out there around the time that Japanese retailers get their copies in. That Monday, the 17th, could be it.
  5. Hey guys...remember how fun this was?!
  6. When have the boys ever been known for intricate or impressive instrumentation? A mere beginner in guitar, drums, and bass could learn most of their tracks, and the piano riff for "Paradise" is very well written.
  7. Seriously, this has been addressed so many times by the band. If we were talking about some serious plagiarism, then it would be a different story, but is every Coldplay single going to be followed by: "Oh my god, it sounds just like this! They are so unoriginal!" ^ I agree more with this, and viewing the thread through that lens makes it a lot more valuable to the community, in my opinion.
  8. If that's your response, then the real question is, what is the point of this thread?
  9. Haha, because I defend the song I'm automatically a fanboy?
  10. This may be one of the most ignorant and uninformed threads I've ever seen on a musical message board. You're just putting up songs in the same key or time. We could literally do this with every song on the planet.
  11. Are you trying to argue that this is the first time Coldplay has ever stretched or repeated a word or phrase to fill a melody?
  12. I wish there was one Coldplay song that wasn't followed by a line of people comparing it to other artists' previous releases.
  13. I just can't wait until Swedish House Mafia gets their hands on this one.
  14. This song is sexy. That's really the only word I can come up with.
  15. It's definitely Mylo Xyloto, unless they change it since the word is out. "Starts with M... hard to spell..." Very cool stuff, in my opinion.
  16. This song has grown on me so much, especially since the release of the video. It does start off a little weak, but it builds up into one of the band's best. I'd love to have it on LP5!
  17. So if the album wraps up end of June, we're probably looking at an October release.
  18. Watch the new songs from Rock am Ring and this "downfall" point becomes moot.
  19. Another awesome song that reminds me a lot of something that could be on The Suburbs
  20. I'm digging this song a lot. Very reminiscent of the latest Arcade Fire record.
  21. I'm hesitant to listen to the live versions of these songs!
  22. Love that movie! Very awesome to read this.
  23. I disagree. "Talk" is built around that riff. Of course there will be changes in other aspects of the song. The Computer Love riff is at the heart of the hook, and absolutely an inspiration for other parts of the song. I would be very surprised if the writing of that song did not start with the CL riff.
