  1. That's great! How come it took you this long to listen to it? Hmm I havn't been in this section for a while... looks like I'll have to download some of those Pablo Honey b-sides.
  2. Haha, exactly. coughGTA4cough :sneaky: But if 4/5 is pretty much the highest something gets, well then I'm very pleased. I like to think of it in terms of percentage, and a score of 80% I think is very good
  3. I think that's "Prospekt's March / Poppy Fields". And as I said before - I want that picture on my wall. NOW.
  4. Here you go! Hmm not the EXACT frame it seems, but still. Nothing beats HD though.
  5. Oh man, it would be really great if someone could capture it in HD. It would really do the ad justice, PLUS we could get really great wallpapers out of it! Everyone wins! Pity we don't have a HD tv... that would have been awesome to see. Edit: No problem Lore! :nice:
  6. Erm ok, so here's 4 of my attempts at making the shots wallpaper sized (width: 1280 pixels). I used Photoshop to enlarge them, used a filter called "facet" to make the guys look sharper, and then attempted to smooth out all the other things like smoke and sparks, etc. I also added slightly more contrast to the pictures. If you like what you see, I can make more. Just tell me which part you want me to make into a wallpaper, and hopefully I can do that for you  Hmm they're a bit big, so open the spoiler () to view them. And by the way, I love your sig, Alyssa :D
  7. Thanks 'Coldplayer11' and Chelsea! The visuals in this video are just absolutely amazing. I wouldn't mind doing this kind of thing for Apple one day... ah, one can dream :P
  8. I think Katienz just did... :P
  9. Actually, post edited. I'm not that cruel, really. :P But yes, I definitely think that we'll be hearing these extra songs one way or another. They seem to good to waste. And it sounds like they definitely have a plan for them.
  10. Ah ok, thanks for the heads up! :D I figured as much, but I just wanted to be sure, you know. JUSSSSSST in case :P And hey, you never know, Chelsea. If those opportunities that have already opened up for you this past year are anything to go by, then a ticket to london would not surprise me  Being realistic though, you already have a fantastic year ahead of you, so just make sure you make the most of it and enjoy it while you can :D And please slap me if i decide to go off topic like this again. And I don't even know why I'm stating the obvious anyway, heh :dozey:
  11. Thanks for posting! :nice: Only 4 stars? Well the review sounds positive (from what I can make out... the translation is a bit odd), but I don't know, that part about taking steps back is slightly worrying. But I like the fact that the record hangs together well, despite the song's differences. Still though, and I'm not sure whether I was just being too wishful, but I was kinda hoping everyone would be blown away by this album. As they said though, they only reviewed it after a few listens. That may have something to do with it. At the end of the day though, if its better than X&Y, I'm happy. But I'm secretly hoping for a masterpiece... VLV, Lost, LIT and VH seems to be very good initial signs.
  12. ^To see Coldplay in London at Christmas, while its SNOWING. That would be awesome :D Coming to London 2x in one year? And once for Coldplay? That would truly be the best year ever! BTW, I assume a free flight up to NYC would come with a free tickets for a return journey, right? I mean that would obviously make sense, but I'm not sure.
  13. YESSS! No pressure, of course... I might end up doing one eventually, it's just that I don't think I can pull it off at the moment, is all. I need to be in the zone, as it where.
  14. Haha, while filling out the form to enter, I just remembered my house number is '42'! I mean I always thought it was cool, being the answer to life and the universe and everything, but its even COOLER now that its a Coldplay song. Hooray! Wow I'm being completely random today. But wouldn't this be a lovely birthday present :nice: [/wishful_thinking_to_the_extreme]
  15. BUMP! Wow, its been a while since anyone's visited this thread. Anyone got any ideas for a story? I've missed this thread quite a bit. We need to lighten up the forum anyway, I think. Believe it or not, I just went through the whole thread and read everyone's stories again! They're all fantastic! I'm thinking of a story based around the lack of the awesome news that we were supposed to get on the 21st May (yesterday), but I'm not sure if I'm feeling inspired enough to have a crack at writing it. Anyone feeling up to the task? :D
  16. Bit of a random thought, but does anyone think that there'll be an independent unlockable puzzle thingy for the Barcelona show? Possibly including new unlockable pictures and videos (coughLifeInTechnicolorcough)?

  18. ^ In answer to your question: At the top there, next to where it says "i Viva La Vida !".
  19. Coldplay's Viva La Vida By JOSH TYRANGIEL Richard Perry / The New York Times / Redux Available June 17 If you think an album named for a Frida Kahlo painting that features a Delacroix on its cover gives off a whiff of artistic pretension, get a load of this: Coldplay's fourth record will also be produced by Brian Eno. If this is their Radiohead play, well, good for them. Coldplay's previous record, X&Y, was so edgeless it was crib safe. This one, recorded in, and inspired by, Spanish churches and paintings and other artsy atmospheric stuff, at least promises some mystery mixed in with the usual soaring guitars and wet-kiss choruses.
  20. So did I, for the same reasons.
  21. ^Yeah, i think that's right. Here's the picture, if its any help:
  22. Haha, dear me. Oh well, I think we should be grateful that we actually got to see the LIT video ahead of time. I have a feeling that was part of something Top Secret. I know I'm being a pain but whats the link for the Brixton page again?
  23. Hmm, thats an interesting proposition! I have to say that I would love them to do some thing like that, or something like what Radiohead did with "Scotch Mist" for In Rainbows. And a good point about hearing the foreboding echoing synths at the end of the song - that could quite possibly be Cemeteries. But I think we'll have to wait and see on this one. I would actually prefer it if they released a whole live studio version of the album in the style of LIT, rather than them releasing the Toronto live show from 2 years ago. BTW, you're writing is a little small
  24. Hahaha! PS- I voted plastic, but I really have no idea. Maybe they'll release both editions.
