  1. I've never seen that one before! :stunned:
  2. Haha 100% agree with you on that one :P
  3. It's almost guaranteed to be a blockbuster hit now!
  4. ^Haha, nice one :laugh1: I just had the strangest image in my head Chris being consumed by green flames after shouting "Jellybeans!" or something to that effect, and somehow magically appearing in a fireplace in their London studio. Why he would call his studio Jellybeans, I have no idea. And yes, the lack of sleep may be getting to me. P.S. On that note, someone really needs to do a Coldplay/ Harry Potter parody in the stories thread. I would probably do it myself but I'm not as well versed in those books as I was a few years ago. I have a feeling that it has the potential to be hilarious, though.
  5. Ah damn :P Well the more Simon Pegg on the board the better. I agree with the great minds comment though
  6. Hot Fuzz duo confirm third movie Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg joined Nick Frost for their first two films Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg have confirmed plans for a third spoof comedy, following hit British movies Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. The new project is part of a two-film deal writer and director Wright has agreed with the Working Title studio. It is provisionally being called The World's End, and will be written by Wright and Pegg. It will follow another Wright project, Baby Driver, an action and crime comedy set in the US. Wright said: "Working Title have been fantastic to work with and hugely instrumental in bringing the work of myself, Simon, and [producer] Nira Park to the screen. "We've had a lot of fun with them so far and it delights me to continue the partnership in the future with new material and bold directions." Working Title co-chairman Eric Fellner called Wright "one of the most gifted writers and directors in the industry today". Last year, actor and writer Pegg told the Guardian newspaper he was keen to complete the "blood and ice-cream trilogy", adding each film would "feature a Cornetto in varying flavours". "Shaun of the Dead has strawberry, Hot Fuzz has the original Cornetto flavour, and there will be a mint-choc chip in the third film," he told the paper. "We don't quite know how or why yet, but it will happen." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7328920.stm
  7. ^They wont be changing that for a while I think. The newest £2 coin came out in 1998.
  8. I thought April Fools was over already?
  9. I agree with you with every point there. They should really have posted the tracklisting within 3 days of the last entry IMO. The way its worded maybe a little ambiguous but it definitely implied that it would be posted soon. I want something explaining whats happening or whats not happening by the end of next week. But unless the release date changes, I'm not going to burst a blood vessel.
  10. Thats pretty amazing!
  11. Yeah, I can't wait to see what they come up with. It's interesting recognising parts of the guy's faces in the pictures. And yeah, thats definitely Guy on the GPASUYF cover.
  12. No problem! I just posted it as a story in a new thread ;) You must be really proud!
  13. I posted this story in the Random Coldplay Thoughts thread, but since its a new article I think it deserves its own thread. Sølve Sundsbø's best shot 'Chris Martin came across the image and said he wanted it for a Coldplay LP cover' Thursday February 14, 2008 I did this for the fashion magazine Dazed and Confused in the late 1990s. They wanted something with a technological feel, something all white. As a photographer, you try to do stuff that hasn't been done before, which is virtually impossible, so I suggested taking a shot with a three-dimensional scanning machine. These devices use technology that was developed for American air force pilots, to get their helmets to fit their heads better. You sit still while a computer goes all around you, hanging from an arm. Afterwards, you can look at the scan from any angle. The model, named Mim, had to wear all-white makeup, because you get the best results that way, but in this image she was also wearing a cape with a coloured twill. The computer couldn't read the colours, so it replaced them with spikes. I decided to keep them. The machine only scanned in 30cm segments too, so it chopped her head in half. Chris Martin chose this 'iconic' image for the album A Rush Of Blood To The Head When I first saw the result, I was terrified. I thought it was so beautiful, but I was sure the magazine was never going to run it. The fashion editor absolutely adored the pictures, however. They were the lead story that month. Then Chris Martin saw the magazine. He approached me and said he wanted the image for the cover of Coldplay's latest LP, A Rush of Blood to the Head. He wanted something really iconic, he said, and asked what we could do for the singles. I suggested scanning the four members of the band for the four different releases. I suspect they were hugely disappointed when they met me - I think they expected some kind of German scientist. The album was hugely successful, which was nice. I can think of a lot worse images to be associated with. It is unique. · Interview by Leo Benedictus. · Sølve Sundsbø's work is at Spring House, London, until March 20. 14. I know, its so cool. I don't know why I didn't bother finding out how it was made sooner. And I love the fact that the final render was a result of lots of little mistakes, like the spikes coming off the model and the head cut in half. I always thought it was intentional! Still, its a great piece of art.
  15. Oooh, and I've found an interesting interview about where the album art actually came from, and how it was created: Sølve Sundsbø's best shot 'Chris Martin came across the image and said he wanted it for a Coldplay LP cover' Thursday February 14, 2008 I did this for the fashion magazine Dazed and Confused in the late 1990s. 16. Yep, I was wrong. From wikipedia: Clocks Single Art 'The single cover, created by Sølve Sundsbø, depicts lead singer Chris Martin with his hands folded on a glass table. 17. That's gotta be one of, if not my ultimate favourite album art of all time. I've even drawn it on several occasions I love it so much. Although I think I read somewhere that the person who designed it was asian (chinese / japanese, can't remember exactly), but I'm probably wrong anyway. Either way, welcome to the board 'sundsbo' :nice:
  18. Yeah, Blow Out definitely deserves to move on.
  19. Oh of course! I forgot about that
  20. Wow, thats so cool! I don't get any mail at all from my parents. Last CD I bought? That would have to be Under The Iron Sea by Keane :dozey: But I think the last CD I downloaded was Guster - Lost And Gone Forever.
  21. Pretty picture Rachael!
  22. I noticed. You stole my high score for 1-i , damn you :laugh3:
  23. "HOT PROSPEKT: THE GAME™ May contain traces of nuts, not suitable for children under 6." Haha, brilliant :laugh1: Just made my day.
