  1. This is sad and I feel sorry for you.:(
  2. Probably yes. But it's so weird how this race developed. i mean, the favourites were stopped in the primaries and now America ends up with a choice between Obama and McCain. is it better? is it worse? i don't know. but perhaps it teaches the candidates a lesson not to start a campaign 2 years prior the election.
  5. i wouldn't be sure of it. Obama didn't really lose in the latest polls. but yes, McCain managed to catch up. i mean, 44% to 45% is a close race. however McCain can't keep his mouth shut and he doesn't follow a clear line. and his first speech directly against Obama was held in a Republican area. that means it'll stay an interesting campaign.
  6. perhaps he has to drive home...
  7. yeah, obama loses the clear advantage of winning a swing state. and yes, most Americans don't even know him. however, this only leads to the conclusion that it won't change anything. the americans won't hate or love him more. so no damage done yet. let's wait for who's mad enough to support McCain. lol
  8. well, this is already happening. just think of the basks, Quebec and Scotland! and Chechnya used to rebel too.
Sushi-Fans anwesend? :D
  10. argh, they played "it's the end of the world..."? in Germany they didn't... :(
  11. well, this step was kinda obvious after the last 2 weeks. or after Putin's speech earlier this year: if Kosovo is allowed to be independent then Abkhazia and South Ossetia r too. :\ it's just sad that the West is too coward to do anything.
  12. i wouldn't go that far but... yeah, shame on the electorate. would have loved to see ken livingston holding the flag. :( who the hell invited beckham? gosh, english pro football is not even part of the games!!! btw, do any londoners already feel connected to the games 2012? my residence halls r used as accommodation for the rowers. i feel a little bit proud. lol even though i'll leave uni next year. :laugh3:
  13. "Ulysses" by James Joyce... must have been mad as i bought it. :D
  14. yeah, u do. i think u have 2 warnings before u get disqualified.
  15. lol... na vielleicht wohnt er in einem bestimmten Stadtteil, in dem nix los ist. und da kommt er nie raus... Finchley?
  16. this actually happened in Vienna!
  17. This is when they played "Let me in". loved it!
  18. i saw them in Dresden 4 weeks ago. absolutely stunning!!! i loved "let me in" (acoustic version). did they play that song everywhere? oh, i wish i could be in London now to see them in Twickenham. i only live 20min away from the stadion... *sigh*
  20. anyone intending to go to the gig in London? i'll def buy some tickets tomorrow!!!
  21. finally i have seen it too. it's great! i mean REALLY great!!!! i love the music and gotta buy the soundtrack. u know what i really liked about it?... it felt like real life! i mean there r no happy endings and usually one part will end up being disappointed. or perhaps i just feel like that coz it happened to me too. don't know but the film is great! btw i loved the hoover!!!!!!!! :laugh3:
  22. did anyone see the high jumping? i felt so sad for Stefan Holm. 4th place again. i think it's time for him to let go... :( and i don't think Kajsa Bergqvist will have a chance too...
  23. omg... u should see me! only 1 h and 40min to go!!! looool
  24. u r watching too much German television. the whole German team is just upset that they can't keep up to their achievements 10 years ago. now everybody is so much better. u realize that when listening to comments like: "either they have better swim suits or they r doped." well, in reality their practice is just so different. Americans and Australians work so much harder coz it's professional sport in these countries. in Germany u hardly train 7 days a week. however, nobody realizes that. and the incompetent broadcasting stations start to annoy me with that s*** of accusations. btw, my British heart beat harder as Adlington won! East Midlands rock!!! :D
  25. Briiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! yes! yes! yes! yes! everybody thought that she was a huge dissappointment not to win the world championship over 100m freestyle as the current world record holder. but now she proved everybody wrong! she's worked so hard for it! genius!!! the most deserved winner of the German team... according to my opinion. ;)
