    Greetings fellow earthling!:)
  2. Too early to tell yet who won what, but it looks like Obama has the north & north-central states, and the lower southern tier states; Hillary has the central-south, New York and Mass.+ California. The delegate count has narrowed considerably thus far, so Barack's chances keep improving.. Republicans are getting delegates regionally as one might predict - Romney in the west and north plains, Huckabee in the south-central, and McCain in the southwest primarily.. Earlier, McCain had a considerable lead, but that might be changing.. Please post more as progress is made!!;)
  3. How many of you have actually met Bono??:P
  4. Hey, post something here!:) (PPPLEASE?!)
  5. One Two Three O'clock, Four O'clock rock, five six seven O'clock, eight O'clock rock, 9,10,11 O'clock, 12 O'clock rock.. we're gonna rock around the clock tonight. When the clock strikes two, three and four, when the band goes down we're gonna yell for more! We're gonna rock around the clock tonight, we're gonna rock, rock, rock til' broad daylight... we're gonna rock around the clock tonight...:smash::dance::guitarist::biker::lock::elvis::rockstar::drummer:
  6. Well, I think it's all water off a duck's back anyhow. Nothing to get your tail feather's all in a bind about!:pirate::sultan::bulb:
  7. So good so far! Once an animal, always an animal - they returneth to their old habits, as one can only expect, and have walked right into the trap you've set for them!! (and you didn't even have to put peanut-butter on a little cracker to get them to go in!!). Sorry, I'm dealing with a red squirrel here - but it's really all the same - they chatter at you, & drop pine-cones on you, and they think they're out of harm's way..:sneaky: and just then you lob a stone up to greet them, and suddenly, the tables are turned.. Wahahah!!!:shifty::whip::thumbsup: Time to visit the judge, get the warrant, and off to that secret prison in (******) they go!! (oh sorry - wrong country - although, I had heard something about Canadians getting into the act of torture with a cable and a rubber hose - what was that all about?) Never mind!:P and now, back to our regularly scheduled rant, already in progress..
  8. I've been hammering away at the keyboard! Hey you people - make some damn music for a change, and quit listening to someone else's!!:P
  9. Postal Service - Mushaboom (remix):)
  10. Chocolate, of course! (and flowers, and some nice wine, a little candle-lit dinner, some music)...
  11. Coldplay Enya & her orchestra:) Cranberries U2 Beatles
  12. I did too listen to Radiohead!:P I guess, for me, it's a mood-dependent thing.. Sometimes i like the more up-beat sounds of pop, and now for some reason I've been listening to Enya. What category does her music fall into? It seems like simple music to me, and very moving..
  13. one odd world we live in.. Yes, I know what you mean, Tracie! I just use some natural soaps (after I found out about the phathalates in the synthetic soaps).. And even these computers - some very toxic plastics go into them, and it need not be so.. (and then they wind up in some ditch in Ghana or elsewhere, only to be washed into the sea with the next rainstorm..ground up by wave action, and screwing up ocean life.., and fish that we eat, and so forth..) Hmm.. what about the soy-based inks? Or do you use laser printers and such? It can be hard to find materials that will replace what you use, if they're prohibitively expensive, or unavailable.. I'm 100% for better materials, and I'm glad you are too!;) The modern world is kind of predicated on these systems we have, and a lot of the technologies developed in the 50's for synthetic chemicals.. many of which are proving to be less than the boon they were once thought to be. But it's like a gearwork that needs new gears - great resistance to change comes from most of those industries, that's for sure!! So more soap-box speeches from me, so I'll quiet down now. Hope the weather is fun up in the party-town!
  14. I'm just thinking hmm.. over 10,000Kbs, and all the best high-tech equipment & infrastructure in the whole world, to play the "OR" game on this site! (the irony in this is just too much!!). Reminds me of a Monty Python skit, where they wheel in a fancy machine into an operating room, at some ungodly expense. All the machine does is go "Ping"! (but a very nice-sounding "ping"!):P:laugh3:
  15. I've got it!! There's a fiber-optic line running past here 1/2 mile away.. Now, if I could just get an optical computer, and hook it up directly, I'll have the fastest in the world! (well, maybe 2nd fastest, next to MIT or Cambridge..)
  16. "I'm not even going to bother", said Eyore to Pooh. "You can hardly even get out a good "Hello" before rabbit is off to somewhere else.. Doesn't matter; wouldn't matter anyhow." Mine is 286 kilobytes per second for the download, and 130 Kilobytes per second for the upload. I have DSL, which beats the ungodly speed of the old dialup! I suppose some of this is due to an old computer and it's internal modem?.. It's plenty fast for me, except for the video part!! At 20,000Kbs, is life all that much better, or does this mean I can waste even more endless hours on the internet??:laugh3:
  17. Well obviously, offer a nice home-cooked meal of organic foods! A good salad, some fresh fruit and walnuts, maybe a vinagrette dressing, garden-fresh tomatoes and herbs, and a fine meal of stir-fry with brown rice/wild rice mixed.. Anything to please the palate of road-weary travellers! Considering that I goofed the first time, I would try and make up for it quite a bit...
  18. Well, it sounds like Tracie has someone helping her with the police.. and something's changing, so that' a blessing!:sunny: Not all is lost!! The cell deal sounds great, but that can turn on you, if you're not careful! Get a corrupt bunch in government, and the lack of due process looks a little different then...
  19. Somehow that just won't do it (but I kinda like the sentiment!).:laugh3: RON PAUL IN 2012!
  20. Too rural then for them to make the jaunt? Here, I've been seeing a pizza delivery car (we've NEVER had one this far out before!).. I simply could not believe my eyes! Cheese favorite? Cheddar? Mozzerella?
  21. So you live in a spooky neighborhood then?:P Pizza there would be topped with??
  22. The new album will simply be titled, "The New Album".:P
  23. Oh yes, there are a couple of those - I agree, they do a nice job! Some classical quartets (quite funny to see them trying modern music!:laugh3:)..
