People comparing this with Birds...how? Birds is one of the best songs on AHFOD so from listening to the snippet, I don't think HP is even close! Haha. Anyway, I think EL spoilt me. I was hoping we would be taken by surprise and the boys would have gone a different route with this album but it looks like we are getting a AHFOD 2.0 instead of a MX 2.0. Ah well. Hope to be proven wrong. Oh and before anyone jumps on my back, just want to say, I enjoyed the snippet - it's catchy, it's pop Coldplay. But I was just hoping more of a ALIENS/All I Think About is You vibes instead of AOAL vibe. With that said, ETIAW turned me off MX when it first got release but after listening to the album MX is way better than AHFOD so... who knows.

I still want to know how aliens fit into this album. Lol.

Yes, I actually made the link between Orphans/aliens/refugees, when thinking about how Orphans would fit with LP9. But Orphans is quite literal lyrically - they talk about a girl from Damascus and describing peach/almond farms. Unlike ALIENS, however, where the lyrics are a bit ambiguous. All I'm saying that if I heard Orphans and you showed me the theme of LP9, I would not have put those two together. Lol.

Sharing the same producer doesn't mean anything when the lyrics and sound of the song isn't spacey/alien-like in anyway. Haha. When they mentioned that Orphans was suppose to be in LP, I don't think anyone would have thought aliens would be involved in that album. ?

So with the outfits it looks like it's gonna be like MX 2.0 - which is fine with me cause I would pick MX over AHFOD any day. Ha! But then Orphans was suppose to be on this album and that song doesn't quite fit with the theme does it? Lol. I'm personally hoping that this album would be sounding like the sounds of All I Think About is You and ALIENS - and even Midnight. It fits with the spacey theme the boys seem to be going for and it would be something I would be more interested in.

Guessing this would be ETIAW 2.0 but alien-themed. Haha. Hoping I'm wrong and it's more like ALIENS (which I doubt it would be as I'm sure they'll go for a radio friendly first single).

Yes! I enjoyed SP’s reworked a lot (though I feel the original slower songs should have given a more edgier/rockier twist instead of being even more slower) so I wouldn’t hate the idea. Maybe officially release some of the b-sides which we haven’t heard yet.
