  1. :laugh3: what about Homer at the start... "What kind of idiot would pay for something we can get for free, on TV?" :laugh3: classic!
  2. this reminds me of that english is a strange language thing i'm sure we've all come across, but to refresh your memories and have a laugh...:D English is a strange language. There is no egg in the eggplant No ham in the hamburger And neither pine nor apple in the pineapple. English muffins were not invented in England French fries were not invented in France. We sometimes take English for granted But if we examine its paradoxes we find that Quicksand takes you down slowly Boxing rings are square And a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig. If writers write, how come fingers don't fing. If the plural of tooth is teeth Shouldn't the plural of phone booth be phone beeth If the teacher taught, Why didn't the preacher praught. If a vegetarian eats vegetables What the heck does a humanitarian eat!? Why do people recite at a play Yet play at a recital? Park on driveways and Drive on parkways How can the weather be as hot as hell on one day And as cold as hell on another You have to marvel at the unique lunacy Of a language where a house can burn up as It burns down And in which you fill in a form By filling it out And a bell is only heard once it goes! English was invented by people, not computers And it reflects the creativity of the human race (Which of course isn't a race at all) That is why When the stars are out they are visible But when the lights are out they are invisible And why it is that when I wind up my watch It starts But when I wind up this poem It ends.
  3. exactly what i was thinking. welcome to coldplaying btw :nice:
  4. i bought the limited edition pack of parachutes and arobtth for my friend who i admittedly got into coldplay  he hasn't even heard of in my place, politik, the scientist, amsterdam, we never change, everything's not lost...well you get the picture. it's like see a baby walk for the first time! :D
  5. ahhh still reflecting over the movie! i saw it last night and it is SO GOOD! hilarious from start to finish. i couldn't stop laughing! seriously, one of the funniest films i've seen for long time. all the sessions for the 26th were sold out so i was lucky my friend and i purchased our tickets the day before. anyway if you are a fan of the show - see it! and it you aren't - see it anyway! 10/10 for sure :D
  6. ^ haha! the more i hear about this album the more excited and intrigued i'm becoming. in the past 6 months, all the talk of producers, collaborations, album themes and concepts, the odd hint here and there has really got my buzzing for what the guys will release come 2008. i really have no idea as to what to expect now. :D
  7. transformers fun-filled action movie from start to finish. i don't think there was a period of 5 mins where there wasn't any robots flying and crashing here and there. the only bad thing to say would be it went a little too long and some of the explainations were a tad bit far-fetched. 9/10
  8. i'm glad to hear that, their earlier stuff have more realistic plots imo. anyway i've got my ticket to see it tonight on the big screen. absolutely can't wait :wacky:
  9. lol the funny thing about this thread is because it's just been bumped, it will make even less sense to others reading it for the first time.
  10. ^i've talked to people who think that as well, others reckon their latest stuff is way funnier so everyone has their own opinion. apparently they changed the writers last season but i wouldn't know for sure but anyway one thing we all agree on is it's funnnnnny  2 more days to gooooooooooooooooooooo! "Woo hoo!"

i have been lucky to see people in love, and i mean truly in love & it is because of them that i know that kind of love does exist. :)
  12. Same here. In fact I still sort of am, however the recent episodes haven't really come across as funny as the earlier episodes did...and still do! "...an awful lot of funny parts..." haha well it better! I haven't watch an episode that didn't tickle my funny bone :laugh3: Homer is just so............................................................Homer. I see it on Thursday night and plan to take my dad. We're both still quite into the Simpsons, how can anyone not be?! :D Promise to self - finish reading the Harry Potter books.
  13. i adore no cars go and have taken the recommendation to listen to funeral as many of you have nothing but praise for the album. ah, love the WoM section
  14. I'm excited! Always been a fan of The Simpsons and haven't met one person who hasn't at least heard of the show. The movie comes out in Australia this Thursday but it will hit most countries on Friday  For the first time in a long time, I'm excited about a movie!

haha yep we are a good looking bunch with our red and black  it's rare to meet someone from melbourne who doesn't follow AFL, rarer to meet a geelong fan - ok i'm kidding. actually i live in brisbane and saw the 2nd show here. chris was 3m away from me, quite a sight! i'm kathy btw.
  18. go to the beach with friends and make a day of it, that's always fun or go to the movies and watch transformers or shrek the third etc. if you prefer to stay in, please don't add to the list of spammers, check out new music in the multimedia section as there is always something great you haven't discovered yet. i am waiting for the simpsons movie too. can't wait!
