  1. Viva vibes all over the place, but also influence from something I cannot put my finger on just yet - 30s classical music?
  2. This is definitely off the album but sounds amazing. Surely this is Davide Rossi!
  3. Perhaps once they've finished the polishing of the website, they're ready for a launch. And for the news finallyyyy!
  4. I know there is kind of an unwritten rule that you do not publish anything new over the weekend but due to coldplay.com currently just showing what it is, I don't think we'll have to wait too long. Hopefully tomorrow there will be news!
  5. Quite a few flashbacks to the Viva era - which in my opinion is still their creatively best effort
  6. Peace and love is what it says....but that surely is not the title of the album.
  7. The sun and the moon, It has to be some kind of recurrent theme for Coldplay as well. It's like this chapter is the first new one after their "previous" career. This might be the ultimate exploration of what Brian Eno intended for them to do in the first place.
  8. Don't forget Chris had visited Jerusalem many times - Jordan is not far away, Ammam is actually close to Jerusalem. Surely innovative ways of going live this time, with perhaps smaller venues as well. Can't imagine them just doing stadium tour.
  9. Why would the poster be fake?
  10. It's happening for F-SAKE!
  11. Surely Solar Eclipse. I don't think the tracklist mentioned is true, either.
  12. It has to be solar eclipse or something is the new album title! It connects to the picture! :) How great this is, all the thrill is back!!!!!
  13. I like the theory that 1919 is the name of the album. It makes better sense with the old photo. Plus I agree that year was pivotal in all sorts of things, but mostly good!
  14. Batman didn't seem to be really part of their scene at all, but it might be they connected her I'm 100% with Stephen here.
  15. Someone just posted this on Facebook, but not sure if he didn't just create it himself....
  16. Everyone, I have seen eras from VLVADAAHF onwards and first of all, I've got to say we have to congratulate ourselves - we are surely the best fan forum in the world. So many people notice little details it's crazy. Anytime Coldplay the band feel down, they just have to get here and see what is being written. Enormous love and respect for members of this forum!! And then to the usual "analysis" of the picture. Are we sure this is Nietzsche? I've never heard of him playing a sax. Chris holds an instrument from what I see. Whatever is going on, it is just a reminder to everybody that the hibernation of Coldplay is really an illusion. While we all think Chris is alone in LA and the band are in London or whatever drinking their tea, it looks like they've been hard at work separately and a bit together, a little bit like for AHFOD. I think all the rumours flying in cannot be true. Hence the official tracklist when all is revealed I'm positive will not be the same as the one mentioned. Even if it were, if the album is still not completely done, they might still change some things, include or exclude a song or two, change the tracklist.. However, this has been the longest pause ever. Two years almost from the end of the last tour. They could be quite raring to go!! What a time to be a Coldplay fan :)))
  17. Any new titles could be Los Unidades' new music and not Coldplay. Don't forget, Chris told us at the end of the last era that it would be surprising if they released another "conventional" album. Perhaps they will release EPs, or something different alltogether. We'll just have to wait a bit. However this timeline works with what Dave Holmes said in the interview, that the band won't be touring before 2020/2021.
  18. I know, I've been here myself since I was a teenager (2006)! I still remember that crazy "Album is leaking in Justin" day. Crazy :)
  19. 2021 seems to be most likely given Chris' latest hint he's taking some time off. They might abandon the concept of releasing everything at a time and go four-by-four songs like John Mayer or go full LP with a long long songlist. The narration might be different any case. Crazy to think this forum has been around for so long, we always get to the new era!
  20. 2008 definitely with Viva hair. 2014 to some degree as well.
  21. Hi, nobody knows what the music will be like but Chris always has a clear idea what the wants the sound to be and the basis for future Coldplay songs will stem from that. Even though it would be mad to think about an album full of songs, started by Will, Guy and Jon, I don't think that dynamic would work either, it's the combination of ideas from all that provides the final product. I don't think they'll go back to their roots, but surely there will be a "new sound" again.
  22. Let's wait and see if Guy will post anything else on Instagram. If he is in California and in Malibu, there's a pretty good chance they'll meet up. But who knows and we all have to wait - it's offseason anyway and whoever is claiming there's not been enough activities, I don't agree: We got the Kaleidoscope in 2017 and last year we got the EP from Los Unidades. Granted, neither is a CD but we know how picky the band are regarding songs and what gets released. They've been pretty active almost every year so I would suggest following Dave Holmes' timeline which suggests nothing big until 2020...perhaps a record late this year but I'd bet on it for 2020 actually.
  23. I'd like one, please.
  24. Hope Chris' visit to Rome is a good start for his inspiration to write the best damn thing ever for LP8.
  25. Some saxophone wouldn't hurt....
