The music does feel a bit indian!

To be honest, I don't really understand people who say Coldplay are not making interesting music, etc. It is different, like all parts of life are. "Amazing Day" to me feels amazing, because it is Coldplay, no matter how "new" the music is or how close to previous songs this one is, it is them. By the way, I feel Coldplay haven't got too many romantic ballads like this one, where you could put your hands in the air and wave slowly. The Scientist comes to mind but this one feels more romantic, optimistic and easier. It doesn't have the tension of "pulling puzzles apart", so to speak, it's just dreamy...I can imagine it will be a very couples' song, with hands in the air everywhere. I'm also glad Davide Rossi is part of it. Cannot wait for the studio version!

I think Xmas release could be on the cards, maybe even late November.

Not 100% sure on the first two lines but everything else is in my opinion, right on! ps - this deciphering of lyrics is the best!!

I think it will be very close to Ghost Stories' sound in terms of what Will does on drums and a general vibe to the songs. I might be wrong, but I feel like these albums have more in common than just following each other. The band have recorded them literally back-to-back, which is the first time they did that. I expect some more 'A Sky Full of Stars' type songs...I wouldn't be too surprised if the art was by Mila Fuerstova again too, to be honest. It's just going to be more into the world and maybe less small, dark venue type of album.

Isn't the ticket seller going to HAVE TO BE THERE as well as the guy purchasing the ticket? Plus the ticket holder has to show an ID when going into the venue so I suppose that's going to be tricky and potentially it's pretty dangerous if anyone purchases an INVALID ticket for a crazy amount of money.

In reality, only a few songs off Ghost Stories work live well, and those are Magic, Ink, partially True Love, Midnight would be ok and A Sky Full Of Stars. Other songs are just not meant to translate to that arena-like venues. I could be wrong however, as I'm sure I will be!

Certainly the best promoted tour ever, everything looked and worked great, straight from the start (free Violet Hill promo), videos, promos, interviews, flashing lights, butterflies, typography, the huge and the little songs, the uniforms, incredible visuals, incredible concerts, balloons, acoustic versions of old and new songs, b and c-stage, lyrics, just about everything you can think of. Even Chris' incredible haircut (or a lack of thereof). A wonderful era which ended with Spanish Rain and eventually gave us Christmas Lights! Gosh, it was beautiful. I went to two concerts in that time and it was really really good.

My thoughts too - Viva is Coldplay on their best form, creatively speaking. Also don't forget there was Prospekt's March EP plus some unreleased songs, and every songs was very different from their previous music. A real reset if you like. However, Ghost Stories to me is an emotional reset. Hard to take sometimes, especially when you're going through hard times like I am for example, but it is a fine fine album. VLV and AROBTTH are top for me, then Ghost Stories, Parachutes, Mylo Xyloto and X&Y.

I think it was less than a week before the official release for Mylo Xyloto, I remember the waiting! 4 or 5 days I think, and maybe just two days from Japanese release. While with Viva it was on June 5 I think; also just a week before the official release. I don't expect GS to therefore leak before May 8-10.

I feel ASFOS is shamelessly positive - not a new trait in a Coldplay song, but this one is really really uplifting. However, it sounds like a typical Avicii song. It isn't very original, neither in melody nor in lyrics. It will work, though, because it is a hit in itself. Maybe it will even hit no.1. on the charts even though to compare it with Viva La Vida for instance is like comparing strawberries with peas! Of all songs on Ghost Stories we've heard so far, this is the only one I'm disappointed with. I'm sure I'm still gonna play it a hundred times because it is Coldplay and it is going to be a hit and it is going to be played all over the radio, but I feel this is just like an ok song, on steroids.

Bet Chris is playing piano on 'Magic' because there were quite suddenly many, many notes!

It says 'O (Fly On)' on the setlist from the dvd show yesterday.

Some sort of uniform is going to be present again, but this time it may be more casual. Which is fine.

I think they kind of learned their lesson not to premiere new songs before the album has been released. So it's understandable that at least until the release of the album, there will not be many shows. However, one thing is summer festivals: that could still happen, but as someone said, Fall 2014 tour is in my view, inevitable.. you don't release a good record and NOT tour it. With September 2014 still half a year away, that's I think the starting point for gigs. Don't believe for one second they'll just do low-key shows.

It really depends on what they think is the best way of promoting the album - definitely I don't think they'll do a 'Mylo' again and present the new songs in live form while the album hasn't been released yet. But this whole era is a bit ghostly for now because we've no clue about pretty much everything so far.

It could be one of the hidden songs, if there are any. But maybe it's time to start something new, and not including the title as the title song may be one of those new things.

Mhm, and from 39th minute on, when Will does his finger tap drumming. :) It might be a lucky find, but is probably more of a coincidence.

Am I the only one who thinks the beat at the start of Magic hears is awfully similar to the beat from Southbank show in 2009, when they started working on Mylo Xyloto (you can hear the beat Will and Guy make) and it shows them experimenting with Brian Eno?

Well, if they are going to play festivals, we'll have a few announcements soon. Personally I think we are not going to get the LP6 so soon yet. Remember, when they started playing again in June 2011, there were still four months until the MX release. And we all know how patient we will have to be again although it would be refreshing if they just came up with some new stuff and not delay it until the last possible moment!
