Wow, fantastic! I just hope they don't go holidaying in a month's time, when I'm visiting London! :)

I would assume for now everything is very in-house, i.e. Rik Simpson and Dan Green. Will said the album might be out next year, which essentially means other producers might come in later this year to work on the material. It doesn't seem like they need to produce anything soon, so I would suspect Markus Dravs to again be involved in a smaller capacity but at a later stage, along with Davide Rossi (as a player of course) and probably Jon Hopkins, too.

Hmmm, I will probably be visiting The Bakery in the middle of August, so I hope they'll still be there....so many people getting to see them and getting their autographs signed raises my hopes SO MUCH.

It's been almost a year for me too (watched them in September in Munich in the pouring rain), the next one can't come soon enough. I have a feeling in a year's time, we'll be vindicated...but not before.

Why haven't we gotten any info about the show? Looks like they played Viva La Vida (and I'm guessing Paradise too).

A U2 song featuring Chris Martin, produced by Danger Mouse. Sounds insane. Although I've often thought that Danger Mouse would really spice up their music. Brian Eno isn't involved in the new album, right? No one's mentioned him so far, U2 aren't going with him on this album either.

I'll probably be visiting The Bakery around Aug 12-16. Somewhere around then. I'd love to go with someone. :)

I genuinely wish they'd do it sooner than next year, but we're all going to have to wait for a while to even get any info, let alone new music..even if Davide goes to work with them, I'm betting most of the early work will be scrapped like it has always been! :)

I'll be brief - Mylo Xyloto's a good album, but definitely did not perform up to my expectations after Viva La Vida. That album to me is still just unbelievably good, up with A Rush of Blood to The Head. Not saying MX is bad in any way; it's full of good songs, has a certain complexity on its own and it spurred on a fantastic tour, best so far. I'm looking forward to an album not too influenced by pop though and I'd be even happier if the three would make more experimental music and Chris would then come in to complete the songs...imagine the results! Maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm right...

I expect this to be a very quiet year. Since they've had to cancel the LA tour, I don't think we will see any live performances from them this year (at least not in the first half of it), and maybe it's not even the worst thing..Chris himself has said many times that bands have to go away for some time so they won't overdo it. As for regarding the album, Will said in the latest interview that they're starting basically from scratch and that they're not REALLY working yet, more like playing, jamming with no pressure re the new songs. Basically I remember Roadie #42 saying in the middle of 2010 that the record already had its 'skin and bones' but then it took more than a year to release it! In my view, we will get a new Coldplay album in 2014 if they don't break the one album-per-three-years tradition. But this time it really could be we'll have to wait a bit longer, up to 2015. Debs is probably right when she says it's going to be a long time before anything new is announced. But we'll wait. ;)

Of course, EVERYTHING at this moment is pure speculation, but I have high hopes for some songs to reappear again. I'd say Politik has a very good chance of returning, and seeing how well Us Against the World works with Chris on the piano, I'd say that one has a chance of replacing The Hardest Part/Warning Sign for the 'quiet' part. I'm thinking I may even be right with this one! Trying to pick other songs for the tour right now is probably mission impossible, but I'll try to pick a few anyway: the obvious ones: Yellow, Fix You, Clocks, The Scientist, Viva La Vida and Paradise. the maybe ones: Violet Hill, ETIAW

It's Live 2003 for me, I thought it was brilliant.

Even though they might have thought up a name, I'm not expecting LP6 until 2014. In fact I'm almost 100% it's going to be so. Don't know why we'd expect anything before that anyway.

Is that Jon Hopkins in the corner? I would assume any recording now would imply a some sort of release before this era is done; it makes perfect sense with the release of Mylo Xyloto comics in early 2013 since so many characters and situations there have their own song in the real world. Plus Roadie #42 said in his blog that they were planning on going to studio while in Oz, so it's either for a quick polishing for songs that have already been recorded and possibly mixed, or a re-recording of a song. My hunch is that an EP is NOT IMPOSSIBLE anymore. It would be illogical (by Coldplay's standards) to record something now and then go on a long break, when they'll start afresh anyway?

Not really shocked about it; a bunch of songs are probably still good enough for release and since they recorded and mixed a few of them already, there's no reason why not release it in time with comics' release.

My advice for the next guy interviewing the band: 1.) Any new songs/EP in the next few months? 2.) Is it true Coldplay are taking a longer hiatus from 2013 on? 3.) Will the legendary Car Kids come out in the Mylo Xyloto era or not? 4.) Plays them the instrumental version of FOP...'right, would you release the full version as a charity track?' 5.) Why don't they play Amsterdam more often since it's clearly almost every Cp fan likes it very much? 6.) All the c*ap about their tour, how they are feeling, how are the supporting acts, the show, the chemistry... :D ps - thanks so much to the guy who's scanned every page. I think on the CAR KIDS pic there are lyrics from ETIAW though.

Looks like MX era could be over in a matter of two months, with the end of Australian tour. Oracle assumed there would be no news about any additional dates in South America, so it can be said that we're nearing the end of that.
