  1. I've just gotten really into the series. I've read the first two books in one week, i cannot wait to get my hands on eclipse!!!
  2. Oh, I only know stings version. great U2 song.
  3. *random* I love the song in your signature.
  4. I would say of all time .... Pink Floyd, 100%. I've loved all the bands I've seen! standouts though were The Rolling Stones who were amazingly energetic, Radiohead was an absolute religious experience for me, and The Killers were bursting with passion, all smiles the whole time.. I'm dying to see Muse, I think they'd be great ..
  5. Yeah change your mind was an awesome little surprise! The setlist was really good but I was kind of hoping for On Top (a personal favorite of mine ...)
  6. no way! He looks so happy :nice:
  7. Whoo I saw them live last night at Hammerstein Ballrom in New York City. I was BLOWN AWAY, I'd forgotten how fantastic they are live!! My friend and I started pretty far away but kept pushing up bit by bit, then there was a large chunk of the show when we just couldn't move, and at the end of Mr. Brightside I realized that if we wanted to get closer, it was now or never. So i pushed through this little crack in the people and we moved up about 6 rows, and we were probably around 6 rows away from the stage then. I could see beads of sweat on Brandon's forehead :D Brandon is a TOTAL hunk btw!! I could not take my eyes off him  He was also very sweet. He introduced the other band members and then said "I am the romance and this is the kiss," and launched into "Change Your Mind." Later he said "We belong in the vast deserts of the west, but tonight our hearts and souls are in NYC. We love you guys." :nice: All in all, it was a great show. They played some new stuff too, which sounded GREAT (all you people with your doubts about Day & Age). Here was the setlist: 1. When you were young 2. For reasons unknown 3. Smile like you mean it 4. Jenny was a friend of mine 5. Somebody told me 6. Losing touch 7. Spaceman 8. Sam’s town 9. Read my mind 10. Sweet talk 11. Bones 12. Joyride 13. Change your mind 14. Brightside Encore 15. Human 16. Neon tiger 17. Shadowplay 18. All these things and here's some picture of mine if you're interested: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=37942&l=de403&id=707037309
  8. Yes, that does help a lot, I knew that was right. THank you Ryan!! (how have you been by the way??)
  9. I've been trying to play VLV on my violin, somewhat like this guy: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsUAxG6c3Ws]YouTube - Viva La Vida - Coldplay - Violin cover[/ame] (yeah he is really good!) But I've been really confused. Is that backing part (the one actually played by strings in the very beginning of the song) in a different key than the vocals? It doesn't sound right in A flat minor! I can start the vocal part on C sharp and it sounds good, but it also sounds right starting on F sharp! I have no idea what i'm doing.
  10. :( I'm sure I've been disqualified. This stinks!!
  11. Haha... I have a ton of turkeys wandering around our property. Turkeys and deer and rabbits and stuff...
  12. This is a bit off-topic from your discussion right now, but I've been reading a lot about Hinduism lately and it's been very appealing to me. I don't have a religion so I'm not 'converting' per se but I feel like I understand it better than any Western religion. It's also funny to imagine Hindu people learning about our religions... it must seem so different.. (obviously I know but well, I've been pondering this stuff lately :P)
  13. Thanks! that's funny. Found another good one:
  14. ^Tickle tickle!!! Actually I deserve it too. I haven't had a good listen in a long while.. I actually cannot believe it's already been one year. One whole year.... just yesterday I was running outside screaming "HOLY SHIT NEW RADIOHEAD ALBUM IN TEN DAYS!!" Life passes by so quickly..
  15. Yay for Annie's birthday every day!!!
  16. I have a feeling she's the really tall one who looks like Coco Rocha? :D
  17. ^ahh damn it so if i registered my mom and myself both of us are automatically disqualified?
  18. Ohh does anybody remember the little Hodiau code-cracking that was going on for about a week before they announced the album? (and how I helped crack one of them on atease :smug:) it was really cool but everyone forgot about it cause the album then came out.
  19. haha yeah I remember, we were leaving for a school trip last year and I got up at three in the morning to download it, so I was soo tired... :P the things i do for radiohead...
  20. Whoo!! Happy birthday to IR. One of my lifelong dreams came true when I saw Radiohead this summer.
