  1. All I want in this world Is for you to come home ?
  2. Nicely doneeee, that was quick haha. Thanks very much!
  3. WOW that felt wayyy shorter than Violet Hill for the first time. Its so different than Violet Hill though, too. A perfect B-side. I love it.
  4. ITS COMING ON NOWWWW!!
  5. We're listening to the station though, aren't we? They're getting massss listeners right now probably.
  6. No Zane just said he has the new Coldplay B-side to play for us, it could be any time I guess...
  7. YUP! Zane just confirmed it on the air... :laugh3:
  8. Hmm I guess I consider Speed Of Sound to be the weakest, a lovely song but it was far too similar to Clocks in my opinion. And I agree, Violet Hill really can't be compared to Yellow. They've evolved so much... Definitely the darkest and edgiest of their singles.
  9. WOW, so cool. Thank youuu Semy! We have another song premiere to look forward to next week!! I love new albums... :D
  10. Wait so how is someone going to rip A Spell A Rebel Yell? Is it gonna be on CD like this Violet Hill promo thingy?
  11. SO TRUE! As soon as that smashing chorus came around the first time I listened I could almost picture the lights flashing like the main riff in Politik live
  12. Hey guys I actually just became good friends with Moises through Facebook, the fellow who wrote that theory and created the web page... http://www.theetherealconnection.com/ Its really some interesting stuff. I believe hes actually a member at Coldplaying so hes probably mentioned it before. The actual web page has some cool stuff on it so I hope he updates it soon since we've come across a taste of Coldplay's new sound through Violet Hill and possibly A Spell A Rebel Yell... Here's links to our Facebook groups for Facebook-ing fans of Coldplay and/or The Ethereal Connection: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8890688025 http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2204972866
  13. YEAHH I'm jamming to Violet Hill via the Radio 1 website again! I logged on just to see if it had made the playlist yet and the second song they played after I began listening was Violet Hill! Haha I love this song and it loves me back
  14. Uhh anyone seen this ad yet? Its at the top of the forums ha...
  15. Yup that was the most common price tag. Of course you should watch out for those "New low price! $17.99!" stickers, a whopping dollar off... Sheesh, they get me every time...
  16. Haha, good question... I was surprised to see that most of them actually had the full album title listed. Update: I just checked over at Buy.com again to take another look at the list price and it seems as though Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends is finally showing up in the Bestselling tab when you search for Coldplay stuff on the website. It took me a couple minutes to find it last time because its missing the cover art and it was on like the last page of search results... Guess that free single is grabbing some album sales ;)
  17. I dunno why its so expensive but that was the price pretty much everywhere I looked. Odd considering there's only 10 songs, give or take a few of the tracks with two songs on them... A bonus DVD of some studio sessions would be killer! Let's hope there's some extra content
  18. Whew, $9.99? Check out that list price of $18.98. Best discount I've seen so far... Looks like the track listing has been finalized here, too. That album art looks awesome-er every time I see it... Amazon.com
  19. Haha that ending is hilarious, I can't believe thats Chris. The piano is goofy during the verses but the chorus is okay. I was definitely expecting a slower song with a Coldplay-ish melody....
  20. You bet I play by ear. I get my musical ear from my dad's side of the family. And in the past few years I've learned that I can find a harmony to most melodies with ease just like my grandma. Tabs are often a lazy way for me to make sure I'm playing things right but its fun to try by ear first. I've tought myself guitar and the basics of piano by ear so I'm sure I would progress faster with a music lesson or two.
  21. Haha no kidding, what a terrible way to die. Any last requests?... COLDPLAY!
  22. Heck yeah those YouTube videos are genius. But I've been playing Amsterdam by ear for so long now (slightly the wrong way) that it was hard for me to adjust to the real way that Ryan showed it. I'm having trouble with playing the intro, both hands seem like they're doing so much. And I noticed the right guitar tuning for A Rush Of Blood To The Head when I was listening to it today, so it'll probably be my addiction now for the next few weeks. :dozey:
  23. What a cool instrument, it looks like a mini pipe organ. Maybe Fix You? Ha...
  24. Yup, the reverb in the actual song is barely noticeable. But you could always use it to cover up any voice problems if they come about, the reverb makes the flow from note to note smoother.
