Like I said, I'm not sure about the Violet Hill how they play it now. I transcribed the version how Chris played it at the early concerts before the Viva La Vida tour. Life in Technicolor(II) is played in Drop D on bass, with the notes: A, E, D, F#, C# and G#. That is the A major scale.(A, B, C#, D, E, F#, G#) So Esus4 and E will fit both. (Tnspieler, your Esus2 = Esus4) So to compare it with the LiT chords. F#m - D - A. Play them in standard tuning, sounds good. But now play them in EADGC#C# tuning, sounds bad, also... that D is almost impossible in that tuning. You have to stretch alot AND a C# over D won't work that great. The chord is D, and not D7, not even Dm. If the Minor won't fit, then the 7th absolutly won't fit. So C# won't fit the chords in the song. He can tuned it different, but not both strings to C#.

Driver(38) is taken to the hospital for surgery. No terror action that they know of. But the driver told that it was not a accident. They are very alert, every 'maybe' or 'could be' case will be put in quarantain immediatly I supose. In Europe is could be a 'less heavy' sort of the virus(I hear that here and there.. hmm). But the deaths where more in the begin, but last days it's getting lower and lower. So maybe it's already giving up? There are on scheme with the flu, if they keep fighting the virus this way, it will hopefully solve it fast! Well it's not Mexico where I live in, but I hear from people living there, that the streets are very empty and freaky, true? That's very freaking... To all people in Mexico and USA(and other places with the virus) alot of good luck, and let's hope i'll been solved soon! :o

I have a Violet Hill Live chords post somewhere in The Instrument Room here, search for it and try that, it is how he plays it(for sure!)

But it realy is in standard tuning live!! He plays the highest strings open and he uses the whole neck for the chords.

It have to be the problem about the action and strings, there is nothing else that CAN be the problem.;)

If the action is to low of the strings, when you play the first fret the strings automaticly hits the second fret too. Yes, because you didn't use the guitar for a short while, the neck could be have curved a bit, one millimeter is enough to change the whole action of the strings. If those things aint working, you should change you're nut, but that can't be the problem, because nothing special happened with it, right?

Setup the guitar, check how many space there is between you're strings and frets, and check of that's right. Also check the difference between the first and the 13th fret. Also play some scales to check where the exact problem is. Hit the first fret, does it also hit the second fret? So yes, re-setup you're neck. If this does'nt work, try new strings. And tune without tuner the e by yourself, just the same note as fret 5 on the b. Hope it works.

Telecasters(Thinline is also Telecast) don't have much interresting options. So if you wan't different things from you'r instrument, go for the Stratocaster or Jaguar.

Go to the shop and play all guitars you can effort, then you make the choice what you liked!
