Was about to bump this thread, then saw its already been bumped. Anyone been watching? I always underestimate Couples and Watson.

Sweet. It wasn't like a humongous research paper, just a five page reflection on how a certain artwork illustrates the human condition. We've finished the textbook, so for the remainder of the semester we'll probably just be watching a bunch of movies and then discussing them. I'm planning on suggesting one of his.

In that order.

Yeah, I wrote a short paper about the seventh seal last week, and that sparked an obsessive interest. I love the subtle philosophical/existential themes in his movies, like, if I was a filmmaker, those are the types of movies I'd wish I had made. Anyway, I'm trying to educate myself on his filmography this week, I watched Summer with Monika yesterday, and Wild Strawberries day before that. yes

Eno produced The Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, and Achtung Baby by U2, which are radically different albums, the first semi-ambient, Joshua Tree being Roots-rock, and Achtung being electro-popish. If they stick with Eno, their next album is more likely to depart from the VLV style.
