not necessarily. Often most people will say I look good when I think I look horrible, and horrible when I think I look good. Although your own opinion should be all that matters.

People should post some pics and let us be the judge. sometimes just waking up can have a strange, positive effect on your appearance (that is, until people make it into a style, then its just lame).

intense stuff, although I think they/he already have/has a thread somewhere. Dead cities, red seas etc. is pwobably my favorite album. But stuff on 'Before the dawn' like Moonchild, Teen Angst and Lower your eyelids are also sublime. Can't say I care much for his latest album, but I do like how he's made an art of larger than life synth textures with piercing, grinding melodies. Although, because of this, its not something I can listen to for hours on end.

started reading 'the shack' for a class I'm taking. Until now I've been generally opposed to it, if only because of the superficial hype of it, but so far I'm indifferent.

hey, thanks. yeah the drums are off at times because I haven't fooled around with any real drum programs so I ended up playing them by hand off of my keyboard. I was originally going to sing on it, but then I was reminded that my voice sucks, so that's why it's seems sorta empty and a little too long (imo). :edit: If you do actually listen to the fragments stuff, go ahead and skip 'piano' as its just an idea that didn't do anything with, and for some reason VDL 1 keeps going for 50 sec. after the track is finished. oh, and I finally took a look at your myspace page, and all of it is just tremendous. Transit of Venus has a sort of hearing damage vibe, and all of your tracks have rich, chill vibe to them, although the warmer almost tropical feel of 'the park' and 'breathing underwater' provide a great contrast. Your voice is also very listenable, so even the longer tracks like 'spring forward' and '4 seasons' never really get tiresome, but could easily keep on going. There are moments throughout that remind me of early brian eno for some strange reason. I'll keep listening and tell you if anything else stands out, but so far I'm really liking it!

bittersweet symphony is the least 'verve-sounding' song they have. A storm in heaven > urban hymns. Beautiful Mind > all other verve songs IMHO.

lol, my favorite part was the old man poking the severed hand while surrounded by an angry crowd.

I used to find Gervais hysterical, but the more I see of him the less and less impressed I become. Right now he's just 'so-so' and declining.
