So...as a Bremen supporter, I feel like I've experienced the worst case of consistent injury problems imaginable. I know no one here really cares about the team, I'm posting if only to see if anyone has stories of worse scenarios to share. First half of the bundesliga season, Werder were moved around the top 4 with a perfectly healthy top 11. Tomorrow, against Augsburg the Bremen squad will lack: Both top strikers: 1 suspended, 1 injured Our top attacking midfielder Marin AND his substitute Ekici: injury and stomach problems Left winger: Injury (Hunt hasn't played since December) Defensive Mid: Injury Both centerbacks: Traded ( the week that his replacement gets kicked in the face) and Injured (Right back moves to center to compensate) Goalie: You guessed it. Wiese injured from a collision in practice. mentionable changes left back: healthy now, but replaced by a scrub for the last couple weeks til now. Right Winger: New Signing to replace Fritz who has had to move to right back to compensate for aforementioned defensive injuries) There has not been a game in 2012 that Bremen has not had 3 or 4 major players out and somehow they only lost 1-0 to Dortmund away last week while basically fielding a reserve squad. Now is the chicken soup moment where someone describes a worse set of circumstances to make this seem less crazy.
