IDK, she has a better voice than a lot of popular pop singers today IMHO. (and it also holds up halfway decently when she performs live, which is even rarer)

Highly unlikely. Tours which run their entire length in sold out stadiums are lucky to break 3 or 4 million in total attendence. The MX tour is nowhere near those numbers yet.
  3. It's normal for me everywhere.:dozey:
  4. You can see his armpit stain in the top one.:laugh3:
  5. I didn't say no one does it, only that a lot of acts don't because they feel they already have appropriate market coverage. Though I will add that the situation for theatre (which is essentially what Blue Man is), and even theatre or concert hall sized music tours is quite a bit different than it is for arena tours.
  6. It's been well documented that the tour lost money overall. It is true that it was less costly to produce (and also ran just a little over half the length of ZooTV.), and that mitigated the financial consequences to the band to a great degree.
  7. At least Guy won't. The photos of Will at absolute radio definately look considerably older than he used to.
  8. The issue for markets like Providence, is that by touring industry standards, it's not only a fairly mid-size to small market, but it's also well within the drawing area of other, bigger markets like Hartford, and Boston. People who schedule tours tend to think they've covered your market with stops in those places.
  9. It's not about the business model, it's about the pricing structure. If people wanted to receive content on modern platforms and formats, but were willing to pay for it at the same rate they used to pay for physical formats, no one on the content side would have a problem. Granted, there's a huge gulf between what consumers would want, and what the industry wants on that issue, but until people start acknowledging that's the elephant in the room, we're not even having the right conversation.
  10. Of course, only now Sky has effectively removed any liability it may have now, or in the future. That's what all this is really about from there end, and you can't really say they're wrong to do it from that perspective.
  11. Potentially yes, but don't kid yourself, that's a reality you'd be living with regardless of this particular blocking.;)
  12. People were saying their tickets had an assigned gate to them for crowd management purposes. I don't think you get to choose.:\
  13. It would be virtually impossible to start these outdoor gigs after full dark. Most of these venues probably have curfews that need to be observed, and failing to observe them often exposes the production to strict penalties.
  14. Yes, it almost lost money, but in the end made a scant 4-5% net profit. (which is even stated in the passage you quoted.) The out of pocket capitalization costs at the start of the tour, did tax the band's resources, but the tour eventually recouped those costs. All of this means ZooTV=net Moneymaker, in contrast to Popmart which did not fully recoup it's costs, thus=net loser. Again though, in strictly revenue and attendence terms, both tours would have to be deemed at least some degree of commercial success, with ZooTV being by far the bigger commercial performer. How is this hard to understand?
  15. Unfortunately, at this point it may not be that easy. Already, there have been a fair number of comments here stating in no uncertain terms (with a few of them being downright hostile), that the wristbands better be there when/if the band comes to their area.:embarrassed:
  16. There are reports at some point every tour of the boys looking knackered. I wouldn't worry too much about it.:)
  17. That's part of the equation, yes. It gets compounded by the fact that it's often difficult (and expensive) to transport equipment to SA, and then from country to country within. The issues involved are both logistical, and economic.
  18. can we please move on from this issue?
  19. In industry terms though, South America is not a major concert market, period. There are a variety of reasons for this, but at the end of the day, the reason things are done the way they are, is that they make sense from a commercial aspect.

Hey, even she can't be on here 24/7. I guess she is human after all.:laugh3: (seriously though, she's logged so many hours on here, I don't think anyone can critisise the amount of time she devotes to this site.)

I suspect it has something to do with the fact that their show at Hampden Park was one of the most Poorly attended shows on the Stadium leg of the Viva Tour. They might not think they can do the bussiness to fill a stadium in Scotland. That's just a guess though.
  22. It does seem like most of the really great Will pics come from people who have seats either behind the stage, or 3/4ths around the side, places where seating has been blocked off previous Coldplay Arena tours. Coupled with the overall low rising nature of their stage this tour, Will has probably never been more visible.
  23. Some of the very best live photos of Will have been fans ones.:)
