coldplay.com has just been updated. there are new things on every panel. Live Dates, News, Contest for MSG, Contest for Brixton. why is this site going so slow right now? there aren't even a lot of people on. it's driving me nuts!! how soon do you think it will be until this is all on the official website? do you think there will be a completely new website design today? EDIT: the site seems to be back to normal...

i know its really early to make a speculation like this but... do you think since this tour is all indoor arenas they will have another tour next summer with outdoor venues? cause i was kinda excited to see them outside! but i agree... september must be europe or something.

you never cease to amaze me.... coldplaying has become so much more claustrophobic since the release of VH and it really makes it less enjoyable to be on here... i really wish people would actually LISTEN to people like you and everyone else who has complained about the amount of new threads...

hey well we may have called you out but you were the first to use unnecesarry insults. and that's insanely hypocritical of YOU to accuse ME of crying... from the second this song was released you've been whining and crying nonstop about how bad it is and how awful coldplay is for doing this. it's even MORE funny to me that you'd say i'm used to coming in second because i'm form boston....HAHAHAHAHAHA... lets see... red sox '04 + '07 world champs (first place as we speak)... patriots... 3 championships since 2001 (we may have lost this year but we still have more than any other team this decade)... and the celtics are the best team in the NBA and currently hold a 2-0 series lead over lebron and the cavs. weird... doesn't sound like too many occasions of finishing in 2nd place are going on here in boston! maybe you can tell me what it feels like to finish 2nd from personal experience (mets choke in '07... one of the biggest EVER in sports... and the biggest would belong to those NEW YORK yankees). but really... let me know how the yanks and knicks and even the giants can match up to those accomplishments of this decade.

ok... i saw on the homepage that story about the whole buy one get one free thing but... wasn't chris just talking about how they combined lovers in japan/reign of love and Yes/Chinese sleep chant? he was just answering a question about them and said they are two seperate songs but they put them under one track to save people money on itunes. but anyway... to answer this topic... it is very possible. i'm REALLY intrigued by itunes changing the title from VlVoDaAHF to just VlV.... somethings definately going on there because itunes always has officiall titles..

THEY DON'T HAVE TO PLEASE ANYONE. and weirdly enough (as alyssa has already pointed out) they are pleasing a vast majority of fucking people who HAPPEN TO BE really huge coldplay fans. tell me the rule that says they have to define themselves as one certain genre? just because they are no longer making these ROCK SONGS YOU LOVE they are still coldplay and their songs are still easily recognizable as being coldplay. i think it's time for you to accept the fact that you are an exception in this case... you are the only one on this entire forum (which includes the most diehard coldplay fans on this planet) who thinks coldplay are selling out or going in a bad direction or betraying their fans. to say the song viva la vida is going to attract emo and hip hop fans is one of the most ridiculous things i've ever heard in my entire life. the song is upbeat and has a string orchestra... find me a group of emo kids who enjoy upbeat songs with a string orchestra and a little of chris martins falsetto. i would drop dead if you were able to do this. COLDPLAY AREN'T TURNING OFF THEIR FANS WITH THEIR NEW MUSIC. everyone here loves it or at least likes it EXCEPT YOU. so to say that they are alienating their true fan base is ridiculous. like if this change is such a big deal for you nothing is preventing you from listening to their older albums. so please, for the last time, stop bashing these new songs and stop bashing coldplay. it is very evident that i am not the only one who wishes you to do this. if you are annoying so many people and you arent succesful in turning anyone against this song... what is your point? just let us enjoy it and don't come in here and create this negative atmosphere just because you are bitter that everyone else is actually enjoying their new music. i am done on this thread for good now...

i'm in group 1! when i first started listening i was in group 2 but now i couldn't imagine enjoying radiohead without listening to Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief. hopefully, this album will have the same effect on coldplay as kid A did on radiohead. well at least i hope so :P

i don't completely understand your question but if your asking why they didnt write it with the tracklisting i think it was just to save space/be lazy. the title is definately viva la vida or death and all his friends... this has been confirmed by EMI, itunes, and countless other sources. i think it's just abbreviated as 'viva la vida' most of the time because no one wants to write out the entire title everytime they are talking about it if you get what i'm saying. but i do see where you are getting confused!

must... take out .... RIHANNA FOR THE #1 SPOT!!! it's only a matter of time... but i want violet hill to get on the top 10 too! i think the only reason it's not already is because so many people got the free download. if you havent already bough viva/VH on itunes... do it now!! we need to dominate this list!!

haha... it wouldn't really hurt me if they announce it really close to the date because ill probably just take the train which doesn't change in cost TOO much. however, due to extreme impatience i would prefer sooner rather than later.
