that 30 seconds was for 'Lost?' which is just the alternate version (or piano version) of 'Lost!'. the album version should be compltely different sounding. but for me life in technicolor (i love album openers), 42 (because of all the hype), and reign of love (just because i've liked the descriptions so far).

good question. i'm sure many people were originally horrified by Kid A. i was too young at the time as well so i can't be sure. but the transition from OK Computer to Kid A was even more drastic than this (so it seems right now). but now Kid A is viewed as their best album by many. very good comparison... i'm interested to see the responses to this.

alright i can't take this anymore... i need to know how they are gunna do this. i just can't take the suspense anymore... i want it to be a DEFINATE fact that i'm going to this concert... not just 'if i can get tickets... im going.' plus if i can't get tickets i just want to get it over with so i can stop getting my hopes up. when are they going to announce the details!?!?

haha it's awful how crappy the top 20 list is for US itunes. i'm embarassed. lets just hope coldplay ends up at #1 and #2 to make up for the rest of the shit on that list...

i dont know if this has already been discussed... but does anyone know why it says 'New Edit' in parenthesees after Viva la Vida when you download it from itunes? is there going to be a different version on the album? or does it mean nothing?

alright this is kind of dumb but... i've been president of my class for the first 3 years of high school and it's something i really care about and try hard at and next week are elections for senior year and i'm being challenged by my vice president who is pretty well-liked and definately has a good shot at beating me. i feel as though i've done a good job and there is no reason why he should be president over me... and so when i listen to this song... i feel like it's talking about how i will feel if he ends up winning next week. it just perfectly sums up how unfair it seems for me to NOT be president... once again this probably sounds dumb haha but thats just how it relates well to me at this moment in time... so relating to the topic... the upbeat melody with the sad lyrics are very dramatic and definately make me feel a lot of emotion when i listen to this.

seriously... it's too bad that this is so frigging DISTURBING for you. like... WE LIKE THE SONGS. we arent following each other. i heard the song before school this morning before i had seen ANY reactions to it. and all day all i could think about is how it was one of the best coldplay songs i've ever heard. and i still think so. everyone agreeing that a song is good doesn't mean we are freaking sheep... it might just WEIRDLY mean its actually a good song and you are just being a baby because you are one of the few people who don't like it. seriously get over it.

ummm yes, actually. i would put it in the same class as those songs. No 'LOL!!!' included. you REALLY need to relax and stop being so anti-coldplay. the song isn't trash... have you been reading peoples reaction to it? what makes you think your opinion is greater than everyone elses? why cant you just let the album come out before judging it? by big songs they didn't necesarrily mean best. they were referring to the x&y esque anthems which im very happy to see they are straying off from. it's funny how all of the people who are happy can keep their positive feelings in one thread but everyon who is upset feels they have to make a new thread about every single one of their negative opinions...

also... i'm really curious as to why it says "Nov. 5th 2007" on the piano... did we get any updates that day? were the originally trying to get the album out then? any ideas?

umm on the piano picture... it has all the song titles written on it anddd prospekts march is one of them. finally this debate is settled... PROSPEKTS MARCH IS A SONG. (some how connected to poppy fields?) it's good to see all of the other tracks the didnt make the cut. hopefully we will hear them all eventually.

yesss i was thinking that. i'm really excited for 'Lost!' and i still think this piano version will be good... it's just doesnt sound as 'colorful' (as chris might say) in this preview as the other two tracks we already have. but i bet the real version will be very colorful. haha i can't talk.

everytime i listen to it i'm just in awe. like... its unbelievable. i love the part when he says 'people couldn't believe what i'd become'. the whole song is absolutely brilliant. i don't have enough praise for it.

hmm lost? sounds a little more boring compared to the last two we've gotten. i'm sure it will still be good but it's definately more similar to the older stuff. nevertheless, chris+piano only songs never fail.

umm viva la vida is HUGE. honestly if that's the best song on the whole album... i'll be FINE. and the thing is... i don't think it is.
