just finished listening to the whole thing. i'm a little bit upset that there aren't more 'sad'/slow songs. i was really hoping for another 'brothers on a hotel bed' or 'i will follow..' i guess overall i liked it. i still need one more listen. i just count on death cab for the sad songs and they arent too many here. thank god for 'the ice is getting thinner'. probably my favorite on the first listen.

this is... your warrrrrning. 4 minute warrrrrning. such a good radiohead song... but serioulsy i got nervous for a half a second when i started reading this thread. and i have no idea what i'd do... too scary for me to think about.

yea i completely agree, it's not that different at all. but i really like it so far so i'm fine with it. i haven't gotten completely through it yet but i loved 'no sunlight' so far.

....bump i just got a leaked version of narrow stairs... what i've listened to so far is VERY GOOD. (and yes it's the real album... not the fake one released on april fools!)

agreed. win butler is canadian but is rallying for obama. and coldplay has always been pretty political so it's not like this is something new and theyre suddenly 'going U2'. but from this song and the other snippets of lyrics we've seen it does appear like this album will be more political and definately more religous than any of the others. i hope it is but at the same time i hope they also leave some room for some of those dopey love songs which chris is amazing at writing.

Shiver (top 3 favs overall) 2. Violet Hill 3. In My Place 4. Speed of Sound and i agree with one of the previous posters that at this time it is too early to completely answer this question. i think with speed of sound so many people were just so excited to have new coldplay that they fell in love with it and i think that may be what i myself am doing with violet hill. i will not be surprised if after the ENTIRE album comes out i look back and say... what the hell was i on? :thinking:

woowww RELAXXX. i wasn't attacking anyone individually at all, you're response like that was really unnecesarry. all i was saying is that it's not fair to just say stuff LIKE because actually, i DO think it's good. and i don't think all of its fans have to come to some realization that fix you is a bad song just because you don't like it. and again i wasn't insulting anyones diction because they state things as facts... i was just saying it's not a FACT that fix you is a bad song because all music is up for personal interpretation so that means everyone has a different take on it. and finally, i don't know where 'screaming' or 'barging in' is implented in my post. i have the right to say what i feel justtt like you do.
