yea politik is one of their best live songs IMO. i hope they dont drop it. but i actuallly have really become attatched to the live version of square one. but i cant really see it being used anywhere in a setlist except as an opener and i don't think theyd use the same opener in back to back tours so id have to agree that it's gone.

didnt even think of that! maybe 'viva la vida' (as in the song) ends with this same synth sound that is in the beginning of violet hill. ahh i LOVE when songs flow into eachother...coldplay has never really done this!

not like i'm already sick of violet hill or anything... but having a new song is making me greedy so im already looking ahead to next week! seeing as "A Spell A Rebel Yell" will only be on vinyl, will someone here still be able to post it up here? i'm not too technologically educated so basically im just wondering if it's possible to make a track on a vinyl into an mp3. plus i don't know if i will even be able to get the vinyl and EVEN IF I DO i dont have anything to play it with. so basically... i just wanted to make sure someone here can put it up. feel free to also discuss expectations for our first VLVODAAHF b-side!

yea i'd agree with that. it is a little too long. especially with this song being as short as it is... i hope this whole short song thing isn't a reoccuring theme on the whole album. i love their 5-6 minute songs.

and i think the reason this thread annoys be is because the title is "Don't Want To Post Another Negative Thred" and then this IS a negative thread... haha it's just like... if you don't want to... whyyyyd ya do it? haha

haha i'm not really a groupie but i really can only worship this song for now. once i am no longer in awe maybe i will be able to have an intelligent conversation about it. for now all i can say is, i don't think it is an elite coldplay song (yet) but it is very good and gives the rest of the album a lot of promise.

OK IF YOU DONT WANT TO POST ANOTHER NEGATIVE THREAD WHY DID YOU MAKE THIS?!!? seriously you could have easily just written this post in the "violet hill is poor" thread. i am so fed up with this. stop trying to bring down the rest of us who happen to love this song. i'm sorry if i'm flipping up or seem rude but this thread is just so unnecesarry and all this negativity is really getting to me.

i've decided to completely stay away from this thread because i love violet hill and half the stuff you guys are saying is just annoying. music is to be interpreted by the listener. if you don't like it... CRY. find a new band or just stick with their old stuff.

i can't stop listening. all other coldplay seems almost cheap to me right now. chris's voice at the end is so pure and brillant NOTHING can match it.

WELCOMMME YESSS SOMEONE ELSE FROM BOSTON!! but on the topic... i was just thinking about this when i was driving. this song doesn't remind me at allllll of fix you but i think they have very similar formats for a live performnace. a chorus that they entire crowd can SCREAM and then a build up and then a quiet ending with just chris on piano. i think this song will be great live. i could def see it as an opener even though they usually use the first song on the album. but i really hope life in technicolor isnt just instrumental and like... upbeat. i loooove the last two coldplay album openers. i really hope they keep the opener for this album just as intense. with almost every new album i look forward to the opening song the most!

i mean... i think it's cool you notice stuff like this and i respect you for bringing this up. but really... i doubt these are 'mistakes'. briano eno is one of the most accomplished producers of our time... (no offense at all) do you think you know more then him? i mean you could be completely right but idk... this is taking it a LITTLE too far for me...

i love it. much better than speed of sound for the first single. the ending is unbelievable.

this is crazy. i personally think the song is amazing. i absolutely hate nickleback and to see someone compare this to them is sickening. this song is beautiful and it is pretty different from other coldplay stuff. they warned it would be different and it is. i completely agree with zemy... if you want old coldplay, listen to old coldplay! to say this song is bad or POOR is just wrong.
