Exactly. I recognize a lot of people on here and that definitely helps! You bring up great points that social media was drastically different back in the day. Forums and message boards were much more prevalent. There are obviously a ton still around but most people just rely on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, etc. I'm glad we have our own little spot though. I think they are just good acquaintances. A lot of the Pats like Coldplay and attend their concerts whenever they are in the Boston area. Tom Brady in particular is a huge fan. Somewhat related, at the very first Coldplay concert I went to (Viva tour August 2008) before the band came on, the crowd was cheering and looking at one section. I think this was just after him and Gwyneth had come from a doctor's visit where they learned they had a miscarriage. Shoving a camera in someone's face that just learned they lost their child probably isn't the smartest thing to do. Obviously the photographer didn't know that, but still.
