Has America lost talent?
Food I dont like. Spam, Corn, Brussle Sprouts, Sour Crout American acts I like. Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., The National, Band Of Horses, Weezer, Fleet Foxes, My Morning Jaket, and there are some more... But, there you have it. Has America lost all of its talent? NO! Does Spam suck? YES!

U2 or Coldplay
This one is much harder for me than the Radiohead deal... A side from a couple of their songs, I could take or leave Radiohead behind and never look back. U2 on the other hand was with me loooooong before Coldplay. Rememeber guys IM OLD! lol. (go easy on the geezer) . Having said all of that! When I look back at U2's first 4 albums and compare them to Coldplay's first 4.... I have to say Coldplay wins in a landslide...

I'll See You Soon!
Awww, Cheslea, Even though we do not know each other and have never met. I will miss your posts... They are always thoughtful and I think our tastes are very similar. I checked out your blog and I love your "long winded" review of the songs on VLV. Have a great summer and take lots of pictures!!! Jeff

Brian Eno: 'Without me, Coldplay would be been zonked out'
The Quiet One, Space Cadet and Twisted Logic have all summed it up fairly well... IMO. When I first started reading fellow coldplayers disgust over Brian Eno's "zonked" comment, half of me agreed that it was a silly thing to say and half of me thought, "well, its not about THAT comment." Its about the need to step back and realize that all the perfect ingrediants are in place. They are vitally important to the finished product. Eno is a legend in his own right, yes. However, Viva La Vida will be remembered in the end as a legendary COLDPLAY album that turned the tide. I think one that was so necessary for them. As to the production value of the album. It is plain to see that when you strip down 2 of the songs that we have all heard, LIJ and Lost! What you get is quintisential vintage Coldplay and we as fans of the first two albums, and the 3rd, (myself included) have nothing to worry about. The headline to this thread maybe a little over the top...

Fleet Foxes
Ive been listening to this album quite a bit as well. Reminds me very much of one of my favorite bands, Band Of Horses.... I like BOH much better though they have produce to GREAT albums and I cant wait for the next.
-
My Morning Jacket.
I only got into them with Z... The Tennessee Fire was just ok. The same can be said for At Dawn and It Still Moves.... All of those had some hits and misses... I would suggest Z. Just right for me more hits then misses.
