Yes and no really... Yes, because they almost always sound better live. No, because I can't wait to hear anything new from my favorite bands. Yes, because live performances are always better in person. No, because they were damn good. Yes, because the album was short and there were so few full songs left. However, I took that all into account when I listened to the album proper. Knowing all along that I had a choice not to listen... If they do this again on LP6, I will think long and hard about listening to anything before the album drops. It's still a fun album and I like it a lot!

Your reviews are great! This thread was missing from the forum, due to the fact that coldplayers were posting their "first impression" reviews and hadn't had enough time to let MX sink in for an honest take. Sometimes I feel like I can not properly review an album until I've played it over a few months and sometimes longer. Being an admitted fanboy of the band, a horrid speller, and bland writer, it is sometimes best I just leave my opinions to myself. Having said that I like to read everyone else's review, both good and bad. So thanks for getting the ball rolling. I hope people will post their final reviews when they feel like sharing.

Love it. I re-arranged the songs on my iPod this way and often skip Paradise anyway. CB just flows better folloing HLH.

I am sad POC is the 3rd single. I want DLIBYH to be next, but chose CB as the next.

My take is that the album is supposed to be a more cohesive story line where the characters find love in an oppressive world... That oppression IS Major Minus and to an extent Moving To Mars (which belongs on this album for that to work well).... While, in my opinion, the album works well at the beginning and the ending, the middle needs adjustments, the tracks MX, MMIX and AHT have all been blended into their following songs and a part of them with out a break and without a title of their own and this is how it appears on my iPod... 1. MX/blended/Hurts like Heaven 2. Charlie Brown 3. Major Minus 4. Up In Flames 5. Moving To Mars 6. Us Against the World 7. Paradise (though Id rather it not be here at all and I skip it more often than not) 8. MMIX/blended into/Every TD is a W 9. Princess of China 10. U.F.O 12. AHT/blended into/Dont Let It Break Your Heart 13. Up With The Birds Leaves the album short but sweet. The interludes are so similar to the songs themselves that they should have been extended introductions. To me, this order tells more of the intended story the oppression is out there and in the end love comes along and conquers all...

Sorry, I couldn't disagree more. It's theme reminds of the evils out there and that even though one wants to lead a beautiful, safe life on the road to paradise you need to keep an eye out for the dangers. Plus the song rocks! There is equal input from all band members. It is a tight, fast passed, barn burner of a song and one of my favorites on the LP. It would be as sorely missed as Moving To Mars is, for me.

VLC is set to play my .flac files... Was listening to the previous download in itunes... This is much, much better. Next best thing to having the cd. Cant wait to get it.

Listening to the album all over again in the VLC player and hearing all the details much clearer! Thanks again! Had to listen to HLH first and the difference is night and day. Then skipped right to DLIBYH. That song is quickly becoming my favorite on the album.

Occupy EMI! I get what you are saying and you are right that it is illegal to download music. It doesn't change the fact that music was and is meant to be shared. Ive been given many albums and mix tapes that I never paid a cent for. Some of those songs and albums became favorites and I later decided to purchase future albums from those acts. T-shirts and concert ticket too... Some laws make no sense, some folks want to know what they are buying...
