Poor sound mixing?
I think some were recorded in bits. eg Will said the chrous to Violet hill was recorded in nunery with them gathered round one microphone, so id imagine it was added in. But saying that Violet hill does have a echoey sound to it as if it was recorded in a church, but that could well be sound affects by the engineer. Chris said lovers in Japan was live, other songs like Strawberry swing were live recordings and you can hear the voice and count in at the start. So its probably a mix of both.

I will probably NEVER listen to VLV on my computer again!
Thats what i did i first listened to the album in the car. I dont have a flash sound system or anything like that but just what came with it. But in any case i find the car the best place to listen to music better than at home or whatever, you can control the sounds and get the real depth out the music. Computer speakers, ipod headphones unless there really good tend to hide the bass etc and hidden sounds.

Guys are the most thoughtless creatures ever!!
unfortunatly in todays society of chavs, pretty boys, players where its cool to get a shit heap of a car and in a vain attempt to make it look racey make it look even worse by moding it thats all you can expect. A lot of guys today seem to think playing girls, cheating on them, hitting them, talking to them like a piece of dirt is cool and makes them respected amoung mates. In this country it has become the norm. I never use the word hate as its a strong word by i have untold ammounts of hate for these people because i have a huge ammount of respect for women. Im not a violent person and ive never hit anyone but im looking for a excuse the thump one of the above. They have no respect these days. Sorry to rant but cant stand it. Approach him about it. Maybe his gf see's you as a threat and has forbidden him to talk to you, more often than not that is the case.

Poor sound mixing?
A lot of the album or so they say was recorded live, in churches, the studio etc instead of the usual individual parts mixed so maybe that is why. Personally i prefer it this way sounds much more raw and down to earth, on the previous albums you can sometimes hear where is has been perfected and is to clean cut.

Tour setlist and production = to Brixton??
The set list will change. The gigs so far, BNN, Brixton, Johnathon ross, Kimmel etc have been gigs to promot the new album so people who may not nessecarily like or pay Coldplay attention will hear there new stuff when watching. They can easily pack a 20,000 person stadium, promotion is the only reason for them apperaing on those sort of shows. The set list will definetly change from what it is now just like the twisted logic tour it will include a balanced amount of old and new.

Coldplay arnt the only ones being slammed by Johnny "Shut the fuck up" Rotten
He's a silly little mutan man who thinks he still in his 30's. His band has long dried up and gone no ones interested now so he shouts his mouth off. Coldplay and The Police are two of the greatest bands to come out of this country the sex pistols maybe not. He really is hitting a low doing this he isnt cool or wild now he's a old man grow up and show some maturity. Sounds very lealous, not every rock band has to be complete idiots smashing instruments, hotel rooms, doing drugs and making fools of themselves. Coldplay and The Police are two rock bands that have taken there work very seriously and have shown a good attidude to it and its paid off, look at there success. Ive always thought bands who smashed thier instruments on purpose to look cool are stupid its "the tools of thier trade" they should respect them. You dont get carpenters smashing thier tools up because its what gives them thier bread without them they wouldnt have work.

only gripe i have with the current live performances (really VLV)
It will only be certain songs like Viva la vida which will or may have backing tracks. They cant play the string section so have to use a pre recorded sound. There only 4 people they cant play all the instruments on certains songs it just isnt possible. Its only these new songs with extra new instruments and sounds, the old songs will still very much be them playing.

Overplayed
Well thats the way life goes. Theres people called politicians who love telling people what to do why not go and tell them how you feel. No one here is doing you any harm. No one is telling each other what they should and shouldnt listen to bar the several sad radiohead fans who have nothing better to do than annoy people with stupid threads.

Andy Gill (Independent): 'Why I hate Coldplay'
The guy sounds like a pompus jerk. Im a critic for a boring news paper i went uni for years to get this job and im going to rant because a band i dont like is getting somewhere, moan moan moan. Who cares what he thinks? he probably likes shit anyway. Fact is he cant find a reason just picks on Chris martin as most do and writes as if Coldplay is made of Chris martin. Whine about his lyrics, well half the crap these days isnt even lyrics, there lyrics are simple but affective thats always the way its been and and people can relate to them because there focused on human emotions which everyone has. Honestly these sort of articles bore me i couldnt read the rest. If you dont like them tough shit because your going have to put up with Coldplay for the for seeable future. Once again i think this is a case of i dont like Coldplay because its Coldplay.

Coldplay's Chris Martin on ghosts as new album heads for No. 1
I read a article he does work for charity, like hostels and care homes etc, and is send to these place and does plumbing free to save the hostels etc paying for the service, so maybe something to do with that. Anyway Chris's house is supposed to be haunted, or so ive read. Ive had a few rough experiences with "ghosts" and it wasnt nice. But forget living with them no matter how nice the house maybe.

sit down, shut up?
The O2 arena can seat 20,000 people, im guessing there all sold out, i managed to luckily get tuesday night just as it was added. Anyway 20,000 people who are fans certainly wont be sitting when songs like yellow come on or the crowd pleasing songs and from then on epople will be standing. Theres no way the security will be able to ensure 20,000 people are sat down not with the noise, lighting etc just isnt possible. I really wouldnt worry people will stand. People only sit at shows like Niel Diamond when the most exciting thing they do is clap along. This is Coldplay the first time they have toured the UK in a few years everyone will be hyped for it. People WILL be standing so dont worry :)

Do you like "Ode to Deodorant"?
I like it a lot think its a good song. Would be nice to have so sad , but dont think there is any chance of that happening. Great shame really as from the short clip it sounds like a great song.

Chris Martin Baffling Belief
Interesting. The line from Violet hill " When the future's architectured/By a carnival of idiots on show" got worst lyric of the week. Think thats one of the best but there you go.

X&Y
Personally myself i love X&Y it is a pretty solid album, only the last few tracks arent always played but id say 11-12 out of the 13 are excellent can listen to them without a problem. I like all there albums as much as the next i dont have a favourite really depends what sort of mood im in as to me each one is slightly different in sound but still the Coldplay sound. But i do have a soft spot for X&Y maybe because of memories and Fix you was a great help during the passing of a very very close realtive and then i could really aprreciate the power of the lyrics, i think its one of those songs you really will only appreciate fully when you loose a loved one then it hits home what a powerful song it is where as before it may not be as touching. But anyway i think its a great album dont see why people dislike it so much.

American Coldplayers On\ly!
Swings and round abouts. Uk gets the album before America, America gets the world tour before everyone else. Personally id rather have the late album and have the world tour first instead Coldplay will be touring in Britian last when there worn out and tired but at least there touring here.

Watch out girls!
Heard of these before. Some are just to scare women. But for younger girls i think its maybe good, some are so naive its unreal, dont realise what scum are about. Know a few girls who have had thier drinks spiked etc chased down the street by men. so although it is making people paraniod maybe in a way it helps them to be more vigilant when out alone. Anyone who lives near or in London should know what i mean with the constant streams of filthly scum becoming ever present, raping, selling drugs getting into gangs etc, all seems to come to london and people wonder why i dont like the place. Never mind rant over.

Violet Hill Bass cover!

Violet Hill Bass cover!
Sounds great, can definetly tell you know what your doing espically with the Low cover very good. Is nice to hear a bass cover, people normally ignore bass and focus on lead instruments, without bass the songs would sound naked. I think the bass for Violet hill is great. Thanks for sharing great work ;)
