  1. I've heard stories from others
  2. I can understand why the record companies would want to get rid of the filesharing sites, but it's their own fault. If they had initially embraced the internet and filesharing they wouldn't be in this predicament. I think that websites should be allowed online, just because it seems like the internet is one of the best free speech things out there, and helps to inform people, especially in cities where things are censored.
  3. What annoyed me is how depressing it is outside and lately. It's been raining the last few days and set to rain for a few more days, though on and off. Still very cloudy out.
  4. yup :smug: nah you guys got it all wrong. No fast food... just household junk things like chips, cookies, peanuts, etc. I always get the munchies really bad after i drink
  5. Wow sounds amazing!
  6. You saw them? :jealous:
  7. Good for you! Best of luck! :) For me I'm trying to do the same. I mean I don't have a weight issue, but I feel I need to be more healthy. Like in the past I tend to get really tired easily when exercising. But it was a wakeup call when I got bloodwork back to find out I have high cholesterol. I've always wanted to get healthier, but like mentioned it's usually some wakeup call to push people because honestly it's very easy to stay content and not change.
  8. too much rain... supposed to be this way until like sunday. Also way too humid.
  9. :inquisitive::wreck: no wonder you said you weren't hungry after eating McDirts in Morocco... the image must've scarred you
  10. That is true, it is tricky. I think people who don't look after themselves should be the ones that should have to attempt to foot the bill or at least have insurance pay for it. I mean when you have people go to things like rehab to cut their addiction to drugs and alcohol they either get picked up by the insurance companies or have to pay for it themselves. Unfortunately it seems like in general you are always going to have people who have no problems support and pay for others that are less fortunate. Like for example when I get a paycheck it has to go towards Social Security to which if things don't change will go bankrupt and be obsolete in like 20 years. So essentially the money I give will be sent to help others, and I won't get anything from it. However at the same time you can't turn people back that are willing to get the help they deserve. To be honest I feel that health care in general is ridiculously expensive (I got billed like $160 just for a regular checkup and an EKG), and clearly they can lower prices to help the general public.
  11. bump... new song! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVEO_dyv0-g]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVEO_dyv0-g[/ame]
  12. Good points you made there. It would be difficult to gauge if a health problem is directly related to someones eating habits just as you mentioned lung problems for smokers and liver problems. Of course all of those have strong factors that can lead to problems. I don't think people should though be fined for being overweight. To be honest I feel that people should be educated to know the effects and problems overeating can occur. No one should be forced to do anything. People can be shown options and solutions but ultimately it's up to the people to have the right sense of judgement to make the right choices so long as it's not directly affecting the well being of someone elses life. I think that clinics or other institutions should be made easily available for people wanting to change or battle their issue of depression or overeating.

  17. this. McDirties makes me feel like shit after eating it. The only thing I'll ever get is a drink there or the apple pie, and very seldom a $1 burger.
  18. I see... basically just being prejudiced against us non-short, non-tall folks ..haha
  19. McDirties how can people still eat that shit?

  23. Yeah I guess very likely isn't a good choice of words, but I think it's definitely something that should be considered when picking out suspects and how it could be flawed. I know my friend (who studies and majored in psychology) read some articles about false memories and how they can have a pull in falsely accusing people. There was this one article he told me about where this woman who was raped was so convinced during the lineup choice that she picked the person who raped her, that he was convicted and sent to jail. It turns out that like 20 years later through DNA testing the man was proven to be innocent.
  24. I agree. I mean I give them a lot of respect in putting their lives on the line because it's something that I personally could never or want to do. But yeah I think the military definitely does that. I mean I think a lot of the idea of patriotism seems to deal with serving your country in the military or waving flags or just making a point of the love of your country. Don't get me wrong I love living in this country for a lot it allows me to do (especially looking at some other countries), but I don't think not being outwardly patriotic means you hate living in a country, which I know after 9/11 was the case. Basically people felt that if you were against the Afghan or Iraq War that you were not being an American or Patriotic... which when you think about it in the most basic sense is pretty fucked up. It's having the mentality that we are going to kill people and try to change their lifestyle to our liking, and that's what you need to be proud of... a bit ridiculous thing to be proud of. If anything I find it shameful.
  25. I agree with what has been said. It should be the expense of the people who are overweight. I think that a healthy lifestyle of course is best, but why should the taxpayers have to pay money for their mistakes? I understand some people might have a slow metabolism or can gain weight fast, but if you truly want to you can do it. It's also something that may be ignorant of me (especially since I've never had to worry about weight problems) and I don't want it to come off as a dickish thing to say, but I also don't understand how people can let themselves get so out of shape and be that overweight. I mean in some sense wouldn't you want to have some self-respect? edit: this was my 10,000th post :awesome:
