  1. yeah thats the one. i would of preferred it if they waited until the tickets had gone on sale so the poster would include the added dates. also the ads in the paper promoting the tour have the aussie flag wrapped around the globe. otherwise i love the look of it!!
  2. some footage from last night. that stage is insane!! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJkYoO21bvI&hd=1]YouTube- Muse - Stade de Berne - 2 juin 2010[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hJ1mHWh9U0&hd=1]YouTube- Muse - Stade de Berne - 2 juin 2010[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrB9wH6USvk&hd=1]YouTube- Muse - Stade de Berne - 2 juin 2010[/ame] apparently none of the songs that did well in the setlist polls that muse held few months were played on the night.
  3. wow that stage looks insane!!! finally got access to the aus tour pre-sale page. and im angry at the band for lying to us about the ticket prices. they said it would not cost anymore than $121 but the pit tickets for the sydney show are $130 (for the europeans out there thats about 70 euros i think) not including any fees or postage. i know its only $9 but they could've at least been truthful with us. of course i wouldnt be surprised if the band were told one price and their promoters decided to hike it up cos they felt like it.
  4. it's a very unique festival. it's the only major festival i know of where every band regardless of where they are on the bill, play full sets rather than abbreviated festival sets.
  5. if you guys get the chance, pick up this weeks issue of your local Street Press Australia magazine, in sydney it's called Drum Media. inside they have a decent sized Muse:The Resistance Tour poster. if i get the chance i'll try and take a picture of it and upload it.
  6. Emily did a couple of acoustic shows this week at Sydney's Opera House. would loved to have gone down but bloody exams got in the way.
  7. so will they be bringing the new stadium stage down to aus? or the same stage they took around Europe and US the last few months? i think tonights show in switzerland should give us a good idea of what kind of set to expect down here in december.
  8. ^^ yeah like Saddest Summer Ever is the most upbeat song ever!! haha
  9. yeah last one was september 08. it was replaced last year by the hottest 100 of all time. im hoping like last time they bring in alot of BBC and EBU recordings and maybe borrow a couple from NPR in the states. it would be a little boring if they just play their own stuff.
  10. same reason as before
  11. sorry internet effed up
  12. *puts on uptight music nerd face* lets go surfing is from mid-2009 so :smug: but nah great song. heard 6 tracks from the new album so far and yet to find one i dont love. will stay away from any leaks or listening to the full record until after my exams, want to give it my full attention.
  13. those of you who read jmag might have seen the announcement that triple j's impossible music festival is returning this year after a short hiatus. the virtual festival is basically 3 days of non stop live music on triple j. the stations plays their live concert recordings back to back non stop over the 3 days, bringing over 60 recordings. at the moment there isnt much on the triple j website about the event but from the jmag article it will start on june 28 and end on july 4. my theory is that they will play a couple of shows each night during the week then go non stop over the weekend.
  14. i love it how their music on the surface seems so very simplistic and ordinary but when you listen carefully theres something very unique and telling about it. basically everytime i hear about of their songs for the first time i think ahh its just the same old indie crap but then i listen again and realise theres so much more to it. the last band to have that impact on me would have to be vampire weekend.
  15. depends on how expensive tickets are going to be. the event will be coupled in with the race, so ill be paying to see the race and the show so i would be surprised if tickets are less than $150. on top of that axl is 20years past his prime and if you've seen any footage of him from the last few years it is comical at best.
  16. Flying Lotus loves the Tame Impala album. i guess thats cool right?
  17. Youtube will be webcasting the festival. they have promised at least 20 full performances. considering each performance will be at least 1.5hrs thats not too bad. not sure which acts will be shown.
  18. Guns n Roses are coming to Sydney. They will headline the music component of the V8 supercars final at Sydney Olympic Park. The concert will most probably take place at the Olympic Stadium.
  19. ^^ had the exact same reaction. every article in it is interesting. best jmag in quite a few months. it really is good value for money if you're a subscriber. i paid 64 bucks for 11 issues which is less than 6 bucks an issue, well worth it imo. going by how many they just giveaway each month on triple j i really dont think they sell all that well. i honestly dont think i have ever seen someone else reading a copy of it.
  20. Nah she sold out 3 shows in Sydney last week. I'm guessing there was great demand so they added more shows.
  21. But there still is a small minority who prefer neon bible including meeeeeee! It's a more rock n roll type record and that's my type of music. Of course I would never put down funeral. If I were to give neon bible a 9.4 then funeral would be a 9.3. Not much in it but a clear winner.
  22. I had no idea florence was so huge. I think she was playing the metro (1500 seats) in January now just a few months later she's doing 3 at the enmore (2500 seats) and a night at the hordern (5000 seats) if she keeps this up she'll be doing arenas in a year or two. Hope she keeps it up and everyone forgets about pink.
  23. im hoping for every song off every album haha!
