No but there is a connection. Two members of the Greenhornes, drummer Patrick Keeler and bassist Jack "Little Jack" Lawerence were in The Raconteurs with Jack White. personally i think Keeler and LJ are two of the best rock musos in the world at the moment. Keeler is nothing short of brilliant on the drums, he really reminds me of keith moon and LJ is keeping the bass guitar alive in the world of indie rock.

im curious to see how many people turn up tomorrow. im predicting the barmy army to make up around 90% of the crowd tomorrow.

i think they will greatly improve their setlists in their 2011 shows. with only 3 days left in the year. i can announce with great confidence that This Is Happening is my favourite album of 2010 :D

if you asked me this a few months ago i wouldve say crystal castles by a long shot cos sleigh bells are just hyped up rubbish. but after a few months with Treats it's really grown on me and i appreciate their music. but crystal castles are still my preference and i already have a copy :D

oh i forgot Linkin Park. their new album is probably the worst album i have heard this year.

is the season over for chelsea? i know it's far too early to right them off especially with the unpredictable season we've had so far. but still 6 points behind man utd who have a game in hand and if they're not careful bolton might just leap frog them haha.

hahahaha. thanks for the siggy quote :D while we're slagging off the arias i thought i would i would take a look at the current singles charts. and i made some rather incredible observations. so here they are there are two aussie songs in the top 10, both feature american artists theres a song called who's that girl and another called who's that chick. are they in any way related? bloody well hope so. what the fuck is G6? anything to do with the G20 summit? enrique iglaesis is on the charts!! LOL good charlotte have a song called sex on the radio. im assuming its their homage to the massive radio airplay success of sex on fire by kol the only song i can listen to without wanting to throw up comes in at no.50 in the top 50... albums now. pink is at the top! no way!! how?? amazing! never saw that coming who the fuck is altiyan childs? to prevent me from going crazy. while making these observations i listened to beach house :D all in all. i think i learnt a thing or two tonight.

i dont think Gaga has enjoyed success anywhere like she has in Australia. i can already envisage her doing several nights in arenas in every major city at this point of her career so who knows how far she'll go in another years time. possibly stadiums? it wouldnt surprise me one bit. personally i cant stand her "music" but compared to her competition which includes the likes of taylor swift, black eyed peas, katy perry, kesha, usher, bieber, jason derulo and adam lambert. i would say gaga is basically the next radiohead.

glad you saw the light buddy lol but its still a good record. it might be far from being my fave album of the year but its right up there as one of my most listened to albums.

im bored tonight so i think i might continue making pointless posts i dunno about the rest of you but at the start of the year i was really expecting to be talking about john butler trio has one of the aussie albums of the year but they have hardly been mentioned by anyone anywhere. i dont think they even got a J award nom and did they go home empty handed at the ARIAs? speaking of disappointments can we all agree that the aria awards night was the worst moment of the aussie music year. any other suggestions? best moments would have to be that splendour period through the middle of the year. the fact that we had some of the best bands in the world down here during the northern summer is just incredible. only to be topped by "super december" lol.

they timed their tour very very poorly. they were competing with linkin park, muse, u2 and bon jovi and ended up second worst of (linkin park suffered the most, they did 2 nights in melb but only sold a little over half the tickets) have they been playing songs from The Fall during their tour?

feels like an eternity ago that i bought them but i guess the longer they hold onto them the less likely i am of losing them lol while im here. does anyone else reckon that arcade fire will headline splendour 2011? i cant think of anyone more appropriate for the gig. cos theyre obviously not coming during our summer like they promised so its either their own headlining tour or splendour headliners. a couple of years ago i wouldve said theyre too big for splendour but with it's new found pulling power i think AF is perfect.
