  1. would love to see all those acts back up their great 2010 releases with more great music in 2011.
  2. i would've given it to mourinho but im not going to argue with arsene winning it. he can be a total arse (pun intended) sometimes but so can every other manager out there. they're in possibly one of the most high pressure jobs in the sporting world, particularly clubs like arsenal, man utd and chelsea who have millions and millions of supporters all over the world all expecting multiple trophies every season. so to stay in that position for so long is an amazing achievement in itself and i think in arsene's case a lot of that is due to the attractive style of football arsenal play. im pretty sure if arsene had been at any other club he would've been sacked (unjustly) a long time ago. it's a credit to arsenal that they have kept him for so long and sooner rather than later they will start to win the big trophies again.
  3. According to Forbes the top 4 clubs in the EPL look like this Man Utd - Total Value - $1.8 billion - Debt makes up 46% of their value - Income of $150 million Arsenal - Total Value - $1.1 billion - Debt makes up 41% of their value - Income of $102 million Chelsea - Total Value - $600 million - Debt makes up 8% of their value - Loss of $73 million Man City - Total Value - $200 million - they have no debt - Loss of $56 million Chelsea and Man City have very little debt thanks to their owners. Without them they would be in big trouble. The only way Man Utd is able to justify much of their spending is because they rake in half a billion per year in revenue, much much more than any other EPL club.

  5. which is perfectly understandable. i've always thought that The Strokes and their look/attitude epitmoised 21st century NYC but ive never been so i might be wrong.
  6. why is it an american only thing? i thought they liked asses, they did vote in bush jnr twice.
  7. awww dont leave :( i was just starting to like you..........
  8. i prefer the ass one. hardly ever seen the bubbles one. is it an american thing? just for the record. easily one of the greatest albums ever written.
  9. why the fuck does this thread keep on getting bumped!!!
  10. i wonder how much Warner Music paid them to say that haha.
  11. ^^ not too sure about adelaide. check their website Abel sounded amazing live. actually i would say Lit Up, Abel and Mr November were the 3 best songs of the night. i should really get to bed!
  12. damn right it is!
  13. just got back from witnessing something very very special. i've seen a lot of bands in the past year or so, some of them might have put on a better show than these guys but none left such an impact on me. they broke my heart and enlightened me at the same time. more details to follow later in the weekend.
  14. ^^ yeah Ten was a pretty poorly produced album so the re-issue was much needed. but the so called "remix" wasnt very well received as it took much of the soul out the record. the best thing about the Ten reissue was the release of their legendary MTV unplugged performance on dvd, its a shame it has been overshadowed by Nirvana's which i admit is superior but PJ's performance deserves more credit than it gets.
  15. seeing these guys tonight at my favourite venue! i'll post a review straight after the show! oh yeah and the wonderful The Middle East are in support. couldn't dream of a better bill. EDIT: cant believe i made the last post on here over a month. i guess we were all so busy putting High Violet near the top/at the top of our end of year lists we forgot about this :D
  16. ah damn. its stopped raining and they're playing again. tickets to the game have been given away for free today lol.
  17. its raining!!! woooo.
  18. here is the crappy footage im talking about. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBL2T8iumu4]YouTube - pearl jam - porch (live in australia 1995)[/ame]
  19. im curious to know what you wrote to him about? if its not too personal jay-z was an absolute legend back in the day but it has been downhill since Blueprint 2 with the exception of American Gangsta which had some awesome tunes on it. now that i think about i really wish they had stuck with the EP instead of going for a full length release. in the past it has always been really exciting whenever jayz and kanye have collaborated but too much of a good thing can sometimes be bad, this new release might just be that. i found this great vid on youtube the other night. listen to the crowd when kanye walks on, its his first live performance after Swiftgate (bar his appearance on the letterman show doing the same song) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnCNWl1DFoA]YouTube - Jay-Z brings out Kanye West for Run This Town, Isle of Wight Festival '10[/ame]
  20. 25 today! he has been incredibly successful for a such a young person. he headlined glasto when he was only 21!
  21. about time Vs and Vitalogy get re-issued. we might finally get a proper releases of the footage from their 1995 Australian tour, sick of watching crappy VHS quality footage. i hope this also involves a few more special release bootlegs from their vaults of shows from their early days. that movie sounds pretty cool but i doubt those special gigs they have planned would include sydney :(
  22. i really really like Camera Talk, Airplanes and World News but i thought the rest of the album was just ok.
  23. love this!
  24. 5/372 Cook now has 762 runs in the series, having batted only 7 times with average of 153. If he does cross 800 he will join a very elite club of only 7 batsmen to do so. Out of that club only 4 have done so away from home and only 2 with 7 or less innings.
  25. ok didnt get many groovin the moo predictions. how about some hottest 100 predictions? here is the curent market for it F U (Cee Lo Green) 2.90 Big Jet Plane (Angus & Julia Stone) 3.50 Rock It (Little Red) 4.00 Plans (Birds of Tokyo) 7.00 Barbara Streisand (Duck Sauce) 14.00 Teenage Crime (Adrian Lux) 18.00 Revolution (John Butler Trio) 18.00 Sunday Best (Washington) 21.00 all of those songs should appear in the top 10.
