Dear Oracle, I know that many fans will ask this question,but given that I am from a country a bit far away and the post is REALLY slow, I just wanna make sure that my postcards made it to the band, and if they did, what the impressions were... Me and my friends sent about 4-5 postcards and one of them, the most authentic one was a picture of the guys as the girls from Sex and The City - with their faces instead of the girls'. The other authentic one has butterflies which say Serbian Reign of Love and Lovers in Serbia... Is there a way that you could at least tell me whether they got there on time? It would mean the world to me... Thanks a lot... Much love from Serbia. Milan... The Oracle replies: Yes those cards definitely did make it. Apparently the Sex and the City card raised some laughs! We can't confirm we received every one, as there were so many, therefore this is the only question I can answer about it.

I noticed that Coldplay's new video for Life in Technicolor ii contained puppets of the band. Beck's video for Nausea contained puppets as well. Did the band take this idea from Beck, or was it just a coincidence? Please let me know, this is really bugging me. The Oracle replies: In fact Supergrass did it before Beck and I'm sure they weren't the first either! No one holds the exclusive copyright to use puppets in videos; it's just a co-incidence.

Is she actually going to have her death filmed? Cos the way they were talking about it on the news yesterday, I thought they just meant she was giving interviews and stuff now... I didn't realise she was going that far. Can't understand it myself, but I guess if you've lived your live in the media, you'd probably have a different perspective. I wouldn't imagine it actually being broadcast though

I think they'll get stored away somewhere - Chris is so paranoid about being crap and unsuccessful he'll want to keep hold of them so that when the day comes that no one loves Coldplay anymore (which will never happen, but he probably thinks it will), he'll be able to look back and say "Once upon a time..."

I think Jen is right... maybe we should lock this thread now and unlock it when inspiration comes much, much later in the future...

Don't know where you sent yours from but hopefully this will help - the day Pris sent hers from Mexico, she also sent one to me as a "test" card. The test card arrived and one of her Coldplay cards appeared on the video today... I'm sure your card got there!

In a way it doesn't matter that you didn't get to send a card - they're not really thinking about individuals, just the love & wishes that came their way from Coldplaying.com - you're a part of that, so you're a part of all the good feeling. (that made sense in my head, doesn't look so good written down :rolleyes:)

Doing something now would just devalue this one, and talking about it now would just lead to silliness I think. I just want to listen to PFFA and keep watching that vid for a long time...

Feb 16th has always been my anniversary with my boyfriend and we were out celebrating number 8, but from now on it will be our anniversary and postcards day!!! Huge Thank You's to Lore - for your beautiful idea to Chelsea - for your kick-ass organisational skills to Zemy - for your fabulous artistic contribution and to all of you for making this project work. I'd been a member of the forum for about 4 months when this idea was first brought up. Getting involved in this made me feel like part of a real community, instead of feeling like a dork hanging around the cool kids, trying to get involved. We live in a beautiful world!!!
