  1. According to timeanddate.com it's 8 am in Santiago
  2. Simon, we have to keep on topic here, don't want to be a nag, but please respect the wishes of the thread-makers You're a class act, Ms. Wild, and Lore will be thrilled to know you've thought of that while the rest of us didn't (Bad Coldplayers :whip: :embarassed:)
  3. Well Anchorman is up - just posted the support acts for the next leg of the tour
  4. I feel really dumb for not spotting Skye & Embrace :dozey: Also gutted that I missed Jessica Hoop at the Elbow gig - I just had loads of work to do and decided to just show up for the main event... then traffic meant I missed the frist two songs anyway, but that's another story. I've heard some Teagan & Sara before and hated them - so you've improved my initial opinion of them. Thanks for the track list... I'm off to ITunes right now! :smug:
  5. I think it'll be on Coldplay.com but Debs will swing by here to let everyone know it's there
  6. Please keep any more theories to yourself... it's just too depressing to even think about :(
  7. So Fixed let me listen to his Mix as I don't have a partner. Here's what I thought: Track 1 – Not got a clue who it is... have a feeling I’ll be saying that a lot. But I like it – quite dramatic, good vocals, and I like the violin Track 2 – Another new one for me. Love the vocals and the way the song twists in the middle. Kind of upbeat but mellow at the same time Track 3 – Male singer, in my head this would count as folksy, so I’m going to guess Seth Lakeman, ‘cos I know you like him and he’s the only folk name I know Am I making a complete fool of myself here? Anyway, like his voice, really nice tune, and would definately lie to hear more by him/them (?) Track 4 –This is beautiful. Really mellow (I need to find a new word, I use that too often), and I love the girls voice. Would like to hear more of this artist/group (?) Track 5 – Elbow, right? I don’t listen to them as much as I should. I love Guy Garvey’s voice. Their tracks are always so atmospheric. I only have AITB and TSSK ... will have to find the album this is on. Track 6 – More folk, or what my uneducated head would call folk. Really different to the stuff in my cd collection, but I like it. Track 7 – This is on an advert but I can’t think which one and that’s really bugging me! Anyway, it’s nice to hear the lyrics. Not sure I’d want to hear a whole album, it’s maybe a bit too quirky, or paybe it’s just cos I’ve heard it so much on tv... Track 8 – My least favourite so far. It’s not bad, but I’m not a fan of the singers voice. It’s a good, upbeat tune though. Track 9 – This feels familiar, but maybe it’s just reminscent of someone else. Anyway, I really like it. Quirky, fast tempo, sounds old but I suspect it isn’t. Track 10 – Now you’ve completely thrown me... but in a good way! I’m not a huge fan of dance, and wasn’t expecting a track like this, but this is ok. I’m tempted to say Chemical Bros. But I may be wrong. I recognise, and like it. And a piece of electronica is a pleasant surprise. Track 11 – Not an immediate hit, but it will probably grow on me. I can’t make out the vocals very well, and there are so many great singers on this mix, that it kinds of stands out because of that. Track 12 – First tie I’ve ever been tempted to say “Meh..”. It’s inoffensive, it just doesn’t grab me like most of the others. Again, I can’t make out the vocals that well, and that kinda bugs me (it’s why I don’t like Chinese Sleep Chant too) Track 13 – A real change in mood. A bit heavier than what I’d usually listen to but I really like it. If it wasn’t for the fact the voice doesn’t sound familiar, I’d have a guess at Oasis. Love the backing vocals Track 14 – Ah... Ash... takes me back to my student days (yes, I am that old!) It’s a modern classic, and great to hear the original as that Annie Lennox version doing the rounds at the mo is annoying me Track 15 – Well you are full of surprises aren’t you! I have no idea what style of music this would be classed as because I am painfully uneducated where music is concerned. The word that comes to my naive little head is Bollywood – I know that’s not a style of music, but I’m guessing it’s Indian, right? Would never normally listen to something like this, but I really like it, and it’s a fab way to end your mix. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. It encapsulates the genius of the Mixtape Exchange – it’s introduced me to so much music that I would normally ignore. I look forward to reading the playlist so I can go off and discover more gems!

Welcome to the board - glad you finally took the plunge!
  9. This morning Sky news was reporting that a 16 year old boy was asking for a paternity test... by early afternoon they'd said several boys were now claiming to be the father. My money's on Spartacus :P
  10. Please post the tracklist... I've sent you a PM about it... I really want to know who sang what because I haven't heard most of them and need to head over to ITunes fast!!!:)
  11. As much as I love AROBTTH, The Bends should have won in my opinion. Surprised (but relieved) that Nirvana didn't place higher. Thanks for the countdown, and all the videos... what poll are we going to have next?
  12. No, Carla, just a symbol of your devotion to the project and to Coldplaying! (Oh, and the band too :laugh3:)
  13. Welcome to our beautiful world :)

  17. Well that must be the Chris, Jonny or Will puppet talking 'cos the Guy puppet would just be asking "What the hell did they do to my face?" Oh, and I think a blog entry & a photo

  19. I recieved two more links overnight and have posted them to their recipients
  20. Helloooooooooooooooooooooooo??? Anybody there?
  21. Maybe the rain didn't help... Glad someone else agrees with me, they were fantastic in late October!
  22. How people can rank The Kooks over the sound of someone being sick or nails down a blackboard is beyond me...
  23. Yeah, I think the boy was just saying what he thought people would want to hear. It's awful to consider, but there are young girls out there who actually plan to get pregnant. I don't know which version is worse: that a 15 year old girl wouldn't have a clue about contraception or that she would deliberately plan a pregnancy
