  1. It's just that he said the Subtitles Menu and she responded with the Tour Diary - is the subtitles menu within the Tour Diary section?
  2. It's been a while since I watched the DVD... did she answer his question or are they talking about two different pieces of music? January 7, 2010 - submitted by Josue, Argentina Q. Dear Oracle, what's the music that can be heard in the subtitles menu for the tour diary in the Live 2003 DVD? I find that guitar riff familiar... Is it an early version of The World Turned Upside Down, the magnificent Fix You B-Side? Thanks for answering this... It's been puzzling me for years! The Oracle replies: The DVD menu has different songs playing for each feature. As you asked about the Tour Diary section I will start with that. It's Yellow; it may be harder to recognize as it's the extended intro version. The music that can be heard at the main menu is Politik, the Concert is Shiver and the Extras is A Rush of Blood to the Head.
  3. Confirmation of Coldplay''s committment to recycling! January 7, 2010 - submitted by Jesse, United States of America Q. Dear Musically Inclined Oracle, I noticed that when looking at the Christmas card the boys left us I could see the word "Food" in the background spelled backwards. It appears only if you tilt your laptops screen back. My question is, why? Is this some sort of secret message or is it just a coincidence? Thanks for your wisdom! The Oracle replies: Wow, that's some detective work you've got going there Jesse! The message was written on the back of a festive food voucher. Congrats, Jesse!
  4. The Oracle seems a little agitated today... January 7, 2010 - submitted by Jack, United States of America Q. I had 4 shows I attended interrupted by camera equipment and you say there are not plans for live CD/DVD? Seriously? The Oracle replies: I can understand why you may assume that but how do you think they film the images that are projected onto the big screens? I actually said there were no plans for a live album so cameras would have nothing to do with a CD. Before you get excited that does not mean there's going to be a DVD!
  5. That's a good point! Also, maybe try mixing up your styles a bit - there's been a lot of rock/alternative so far... time to broaden your horizons, Simon :)

  8. Wow! I did not know that... I just figured Itunes was everywhere now.
  9. So are you going to listen to 6 today  Are you constructing your own list or going off the recommendations here?
  10. If I'm trying something new, I'll download it from Itunes, but if I'm getting an album by a band or artist that I really like, I like to get a physical copy... I'm a bit of a geek, I like reading the liner notes
  11. There's a band called The Postal Service???

  19. Do you think she did yoga on Christmas Day? Perhaps wearing a Santa hat :P
  20. No doubt she has extra holiday weight to lose - I bet she binged all over Christmas :P
  21. I clicked 10 (but my actual total is 11) When I was at Uni I lived in a different place each year - taking my student days out, I'd only be on 6

  23. January 5, 2010 - submitted by Lauren, United States of America Q. Hey, Oracle! In light of Jacob's question about the intro song for the 2003 concerts, I was wondering what the song is that's at the beginning of Yellow, like in the Live 2003 version. Or is it just a sample that was created for that purpose? I've always thought it was really beautiful so if there's a full song then I'd love to hear it! The Oracle replies: It was a new extended intro that was indeed created for that purpose. I have mentioned before that Yellow is one of those songs that the band like to play around with live so that it doesn't become boring for the fans and the band - as if eh? You can find it on both the DVD and CD of Live 2003.
