I did a bit of research on Wikipedia (it's been a slow day) Apparently, left-handed people are usually better at multi-tasking than right-handed people! I have always considered myself a good multi-tasker, but I thought it was a girl-thing. What do the left-handed males amongst you say?

How come they used such an old photo on the cover?

I was told by another teacher at school that I'm a poor swimmer because I'm left-handed!

My handwriting is awful - I blame it on being left-handed. It's my excuse for a lot of things: poor sense of direction, not being able to follow instructions, I blame it all on the hand. We're aparently supposed to be more creative and artistic. I think I'm a fairly creative thinker, but I can't draw/paint/design to save my life

See, he has the opposite effect on me. I'm usually feeling half dead when I log on to this thread, and he instantly revives me! This thread has healing powers!!!!

Being left-handed, I always notice when other people are - including seeing people on tv and stuff. Sad but true - I got really excited when I learned Guy was a lefty :embarassed: I need to get a life :\

Sorry, double post - my computer went a bit nuts for a minute or two

We our kids do exams, we sit them in set order - set 1 (the brightest kids) on the left, all the way to set 8 (our least able) on the right. While I was invigilating one day, the Head of Drama (a lefty, and seriously quirky) told me to count the number of lefties in the room. She said there's always hardly any on the left (how ironic), and that more and more appear as you work your way down the room (and the ability level) Sure enough, there was only one kid in set 1 who was a lefty, a couple in sets 2 -4, and by the time I got down to 8, the number of lefties was even to the number of right handed kids

At work we have a much higher proportion of left handed people than the normal 1 in 10 statistic. And the lefties tend to be the quirkier types - I hand a feeling you might be one of us! :rolleyes:

I do most things with my right hand, but I write with my left, so I consider myself to be a lefty. I wouldn't thing of myself as ambidextrous because I can't write with my right hand. It's funny how most of us do a mixture of both. I guess it depends on who teaches you. My woodwork teach at school actually told me I was unteachable because I was a lefty!

This is a bit of a random poll, and may only appeal to 1 in 10 of you... I'm a lefty and I've always been a bit curious about this. I get it from my Mum, curiously both her parents are right handed. I write with my left, but do a lot of other things with my right hand (holding scissors/knives/rackets), because I was taught by right handers. How about you guys?
