I really liked the MGMT album, "Oracular Spectacular" and I've just picked up Hot Chip "Made in the Dark", which is pretty cool too. But my undoubted fave this year has to be the Vampire Weekend album. It's probably the best debut album I've ever heard.

I'm sat at my computer with a glass of wine - it's my first of the evening but after looking through this thread, I feel like I've had three bottles. You lot are scary... but funny as hell:):):)

I like the X & Y cover but it's not my favourite. I love the AROBTTH cover. I really like the VLV cover too but want to reserve my final thoughts until I've heard the songs that go with it. I love the boldness of it though, and the mix of an old style painting with graffiti over the top - it gets me all excited at the prospect of bold music in a mix of styles. Is there really still 3 and a half weeks to go...

I still haven't seen the Violet Hill video (my internet connection is crap so I'm waiting to see it on tv) But all the stills I've seen of Guy look UN-BE-LIEVE-ABLE He just gets better looking with every passing day...

I'm reading a lot of love for Dad's... ... mine hate's Coldplay, so I can't gush that much!

You know you're addicted to Coldplay... when it's late on Sunday night, you're knackered and you've not prepared for work tomorrow yet you stay up to talk about Coldplay with total strangers!!!

So according to The Box, the top 3 Coldplay videos are 3 - Yellow 2 - In My Place 1 - Speed of Sound An astrologer couldn't have predicted that! GPASUYF didn't even make the top ten...

Apologies, I'm a big fan of In My Place - both the song and the video. I think it's just a great pop song. It shouldn't be in the top three though. What would your top three vids be?

I'm currently watching Top Ten Coldplay on The Box... has Guy ever looked bad in a video..? So far they've shown Talk & Shiver. Scrumptious in both!!!

In at number 10... Talk I love that video - it's both stylish and fun and the guys look really cool, can't believe it's only number 10. I often wonder how channels come up with the order that they do for these kinds of things

A programme called "Top 10 Coldplay" is about to start (5pm BST) on The Box (Sky Channel 349). The NME Channel had something similar the other day. I noticed a lot people were quite critical of Coldplay's videos the other day - I'll be watching to remind myself how good some of them are. What are peoples favourites? P.S. Is it too much to hope that this programme will show anything of the Violet Hill video???

Kylie Minogue - damn, I'm gutted about the vocal she did for Coldplay not making the album! Maybe it'll crop up sometime in the future...

I've been predicting a Cook V Archuleta final for weeks - I think they've been the most consisitent all the way through. David Cook is fantastic: awesome voice, brilliant performer and he seems like a really nice guy too. Can't help think they'll fix it for Archuleta to win though. Remember, last year they gave Blake Lewis lots of opportunities to do his own thing leading up to the final, but then they made him sing that crappy ballad that totally didn't suit him. What's the betting that the winning song is another "inspirational" number aimed at all the little school girls who vote for the puppy dog eyes?
