Coldplay haters don't know what they're missing out on.

A couple of my Coldplay-hating friends rather love Violet Hill. Infact one of them is trying to out-do me on how many times she can listen to Violet Hill. However another of my friends has decided he's not going to like VLVODAAHF because he thinks Coldplay have become too "commercialised" :rolleyes: I tried to make him see sense but to no avail. I guess the converters are going to kind of balance out.

That intrigued me too.

Amsterdam is, without a doubt, my favourite Coldplay song of all time. Although saying that I have a feeling VLV is going to give it a good run for it's money. But too early to tell.

How can you possibly say it's the end? You're judging it on what.. your own personal taste? What about the massive success of Violet Hill?

The fact remains that whatever they do, they are going to get some criticism from various parties. If they continued with the generic Coldplayness then people would criticise them for not going outside of their comfort zone like they promised, but as it is there will be people who think that the old classic Coldplay is the best. For my part, when I first heard this song it brought tears to my eyes. It is truly beautiful and to me that is the only thing that matters because that is what music is supposed to do to you. Does it really matter whether it sounds like the "old" Coldplay or not?? It bodes well for the future, I think :)

To be fair, when I heard the album title I did a bit of a double take. But yeah. This guy is an idiot. He will feel like a mug when the album goes to number 1 prettyy much worldwide.

I've never come across anyone that has actually got bullied for liking Coldplay. If we live in a world in which people get bullied for liking a band then there is something seriously twisted about it.
