  1. I agree with you 100%. If we had a similar law over here that would solve the problem.
  2. Yes I managed to pull VIP tickets in the top 10 category for $720 and the top 25 was $490.
  3. unfortunately it's the ticket brokers getting all the tickets. They just started an investigation in NY on this issue: http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/state/state-calls-reselling-of-sports-concert-tickets-fixed-game-20160127
  4. This is soo frustrating...:bigcry::bigcry::bigcry:
  5. A top 10 vip seating is $720 a tickets. sigh that is way too expensive...I got a VIP last time around and it was like $350 or so.
  6. unfortunately i have lots of experience trying to get tickets from ticketmaster. it's a terrible system but keep running searches. don't give up.
  7. if you are looking for tickets for the NJ show they are onsale now.
  8. Wow, I just read through the entire thread and definitely an interesting read on people's opinions on CP and AHFOD. As to where I stand--I also dislike AHFOD. I think there are some decent songs in it like Up and Up and Birds but those songs are no where near the quality of their previous work. As to why I bother listening to their music or commenting on it if I dislike it--because I believe they are very talented and could produce incredible new songs if they actually tried. U2 is my favorite band and I always said that CP could be better than/surpass U2 one day but their last few albums make me question this position. Not because CP can't do good music but because they don't want to. As someone else said, now they rely on gimmicks and featured artists to stay relevant. As to comparing U2's Pop and AHFOD--not even in the same league. U2's pop is still a rock album and a very good one at that with interesting and profound lyrics. The same can not be said about AHFOD. As to those that say a band cannot stay the same throughout the years--I agree. CP cannot and should not make another AROBTTH. They should make a better album than that. It's called growth. U2 has changed through out the years but they never went down the path of almost all pop music to stay relevant. In every U2 album you can clearly hear rock. One poster said it seems like CP is regressing. I agree. A simple look at the lyrics in Paradise makes this point: And dream of para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise She'd dream of para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise La-la-la-la-la-la-la La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la or Hymn Ah-oh-ah-oh-ah Got me feeling drunk and high So high, so high Oh-ah-oh-ah-oh-ah I'm feeling drunk and high So high, so high Ah-oh-ah-oh-ah La, la, la, la, la, la, la So high, so high Ah-oh-ah-oh-ah I'm feeling drunk and high So high, so high The emerging pattern are repetitive lyrics devoid of any real emotion. And yes that put's them in the league of other pop artists like Maroon 5. As to the comment that AHFOD is better than X&Y --I completely disagree. X&Y is the album that made me love CP and my favorite album. Songs like Fix You, Hardest Part, and Low have beautiful melodies and heartfelt lyrics. My hope for CP--that they will return to their rock roots and stop this pop/dance phase. Not because I dislike pop, I actually like it but because I believe that they are not very good at it. Maroon 5, Taylor Swift and a host of other artists are better at pop. CP doing it is forgettable and almost embarrassing (because it feels like they are trying too hard at something that does not come natural to them). A quick look at the iTunes charts here in the U.S. makes that point. They are currently not even in the top 10 albums. Before they used to sit in the top 10 for weeks. If CP were a new band today releasing AHFOD as their first album I truly believe they would fail and barely chart. At rock CP excels so I will continue to listen to their back catalog and any new albums they put out in the hopes that they will return to form and be the great band that they can be. These are just my opinions and not meant to offend or insult anyone who disagrees with me.
  9. There was a time Coldplay could do no wrong for me and the release of a new Coldplay song meant it would be something I knew I would love. I remember the first time I heard Viva La Vida. I was impressed and could not help but think it was one of Coldplay's greatest songs ever. Unfortunately, those days are long gone for me. I can understand that a band has to grow and cannot put out the same album every single time but they have departed so much from their original "rock sound" which to me made them amazing. I'm not saying I hate pop or that I mind a pop/dance song. I for one absolutely loved Every Teardrop is a Waterfall and defended the song on this forum when it was released. Charlie Brown is also a stand out in Coldplay's music catalog. I've been listening to Adventure of a Lifetime on repeat and I cannot find anything redeeming about it. It's repetitive and cringeworthy. This seems to be a song that belongs on Ghost Stories right next to Magic. I had hoped that Ghost Stories was a one off album but given the sound of AOAL I'm beginning to doubt that. Which seems to be the story of late with Coldplay. Repetitive and uninspired lyrics like those in Paradise and A Sky Full of Stars. Long gone are the days of beautiful melodies and meaningful and emotional lyrics like those in the The Scientist, Fix You, Amsterdam, Talk and Politik. What made Coldplay unique is no longer there. They are just another musical act like dozens of others played on the radio--forgettable. I never thought I'd say this but if this were to be Coldplay's last album it might not be such a bad thing. 5/10
  10. It actually sounds like Chris in the beginning. And the song sounds very coldplay. I for one am really hoping it is. It sounds great! Didn't Sky Channel use a snippet of Coldplay's Charlie Brown before the studio version was officially released? I can't seem to find it on youtube. Does anyone else remember that?
  11. Aww! Thank you! It's one of my favorite U2 songs too. Hopefully we get a U2 album in 2014!
  12. Good point!!! it's one of my favorites and I missed it. Maybe Hardest Part vs. Midnight Remix? LOL
  13. LOL, yep! Favorite coldplay album! I have listened to GS quite a bit but still not feeling it. :\

Wow the lyrics are heartbreaking  This song is going to be amazing.
  17. First let me say great idea. I was listening to the recent interview on BBC1 and heard when Chris said that X&Y was about 60% of what the band was aiming for. It's not the first time that he says he was not happy with the album. I understand that as the one of the creators of the album he is entitled to that opinion but it makes me sad to hear when he says that because X&Y is my favorite Coldplay album and my favorite album of all time from any artist. Dee United States Around the time X&Y was released I was going through an incredibly stressful and depressing period in my life. I was sitting at my computer on the week the album was released and saw that AOL was streaming the album. I was familiar with the band but I was not a fan. Out of pure curiosity I started listening to the album. I was expecting to hate it but much to my surprise I enjoyed song after song. The lyrics resonated with me especially those of Fix You, Talk and Square One. To this day X&Y is my favorite album and it is because of this album that Coldplay has become my favorite artist/band of all time. Not only did the album help me get through difficult moments back then but it's the album I keep coming back to any time I'm struggling with personal issues.

  19. Apparently the media is fascinated with this. Entertainment Hollywood spent 15 minutes on the story yesterday. As did Nightline. The whole thing about his brother--not cool. MSN now posted this: Gwyneth Paltrow Spotted Kissing Ex-Boyfriend Donovan Leitch Before Chris Martin Split http://wonderwall.msn.com/movies/Gwyneth-Paltrow-Spotted-Kissing-Ex-Boyfriend-Donovan-Leitch-Before-Chris-Martin-Split-1804832.story
  20. Sad indeed. Wishing the best to them both and their kids. Don't know how much is true. But it seems like there had been ongoing issues. From E! 5 Signs That Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin Would Eventually Split Up http://www.eonline.com/news/525036/5-signs-that-gwyneth-paltrow-and-chris-martin-would-eventually-split-up
  21. LOL, not true--at least not for me. I like their old catalog of songs. I also loved songs on MX like Every Teardrop, Charlie Brown, Hurts like Heaven, Major Minus etc. However, I also thought Paradise was incredibly repetitive in the lyrics and that Up in Flames lacked that moment "a la" Fix You or Talk and therefore fell flat. So I wasn't a fan of those 2 songs on MX. It seems to me that the new songs in Ghost Stories that we have heard so far are following that same pattern that began in MX of being repetitive and flat and that is why so far I'm not liking the new material.
  22. Oh I missed that! Thanks for the info! :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. This is interesting. Did they announce something or are they playing somewhere? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. This! I don't mind slow songs the problem is the new ones we have heard so far are flat and go nowhere. They are repetitive and sound incomplete. :-( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
