Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
Echoing other coldplayer's sentiments, I too am somewhat disappointed in the 4 new tracks I've heard so far. I was absolutely confused when I heard midnight for the first time although I will admit that it didn't sound nearly as bad live last night. Magic and always in my head are ok. My favorite is another's arms. But so far I haven't loved the songs on first listen like so many other Coldplay songs (i.e. politik, scientist, fix you, talk, square one, viva, every teardrop or Charlie Brown). I hope I'm wrong and that the album gets better but as it is the album only has 9 songs. :-( I hope there are some real gems left in the tracks we have yet to hear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2012 tour date rumours (please post dates for ALL countries in here)
Do we know for sure they will do stadiums in the U.S.? I thought they were doing a summer tour in Europe? If that's the case my guess is they will do arenas in the U.S. Sometime in January through May. It would be too cold to do stadiums in the U.S. during that time.

Am I the only person who doesn't have a problem with Coldplay's lyrics?
Thank you for starting this thread because the criticism of Coldplay's lyrics really bothers me. I think during one of the recent interviews Chris mentioned that he was harshly criticized for the lyrics on X&Y. He mentioned that ever since then he has tried to improve on his writing. Ironically, X&Y happens to be my favorite album and what drew me to X&Y were the lyrics. I think the lyrics are amazing and incredibly heartfelt. Songs on all of Coldplay's albums including the Scientist, Amsterdam, Every Teardrop, Fix You, Talk to name just a few, have beautiful lyrics. Chris is an incredibly talented song writer and I wish he would pay less attention to the critics because he has no reason to doubt his writing abilities or change his writing style. He is brilliant.

What Is The Best Coldplay Album ( according to fans)
For me X&Y by a mile. Followed by AROBTTH, MX, Viva and then Parachutes.

Coldplay @ Steve Jobs memorial (19/10, Cupertino)
Coldplay at Steve Jobs Memorial? It appears that Coldplay may have performed: http://www.macrumors.com/2011/10/19/norah-jones-and-coldplay-help-apple-celebrate-steve-jobs-life/ From twitter: @RyanShah: Just had a concert before work. Norah Jones and Coldplay rocked the memorial for Steve Jobs. @larley: That was a really moving ceremony. Norah Jones, Coldplay, Al Gore... Got choked up when they played Steve reading "Here's to the Crazy Ones" From: http://www.mercurynews.com/breaking-news/ci_19146577?source=rss Numerous Twitter users reported that rock supergroup Coldplay and singer Norah Jones played at the memorial service. Both artists have performed at Apple events in the past; according to Coldplay's blog, Jobs attended a concert by the group in July 2009 at Shoreline Amphitheatre, marking one of his first public appearances after his liver-transplant surgery that year. Toward the end of the memorial, just before 11 a.m., the music could be heard throughout the company's main campus. Apple employees began departing in huge groups about 11:30, with the music continuing to play. Cupertino police provided crowd control for the throng. As they departed, employees said Coldplay frontman Chris Martin told everyone to get back to work because that's what Jobs would have wanted.

[5-Aug-2011] Coldplay @ Lollapalooza Festival, Chicago
I can’t believe it’s almost here. I am nervous but super excited. Thanks for your advice l0wxo2! I just sent you a direct message. I have begun packing my things so far I am taking a hat, poncho, umbrella, sunscreen, bug repellant, granola/protein bars, water, hand held fan, wet one wipes, and toilet paper. I did not have a shirt made but will be wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans. The forecast is saying it will be 82 on Friday but with humidity it will feel like 91. They are still projecting rain at night so make sure to bring ponchos or umbrellas. I just downloaded the Lolla app. Prospektor I just sent you a pm. Please add me when you get a chance. Can’t wait to meet all of you!!! :):):)

[5-Aug-2011] Coldplay @ Lollapalooza Festival, Chicago
One week to go! Ok honestly I am getting nervous. I have never lined up early for a concert so I am getting anxious. Too many questions -- What time will people be getting there? Will I be able to get a good spot? How will the weather hold up? What should I take? LOL like I said too many questions. I went to the Lolla site and they have a map up of the stages and food vendors. Here is the link: http://lolp1.c3cdn.com/wp/wp-content/themes/lollapalooza/images/map/2011_map.jpg Here is a link to FAQs and things we can bring/not bring: http://www.lollapalooza.com/faqs/festival-faqs/ Ok so what is everyones game plan? What time will you be getting there and what will you be taking with you? The FAQs say no food but then how would we hold up with no food while in line all day? Does anyone want to meet up for breakfast Friday morning and then we can walk together to Grant Park?
