I don't see any harm with his thread, in fact, I do that typo all the time and I'd honestly rather discuss this typo than to see a bazillion threads about the same thing in the Coldplay section or a thread about Chris Martin's butt.

You know what is really annoying? Being told how to do your job. I can see where some of your frustration is coming from, but you always have the choice to not reply to these threads, you'd do us all a favour.

Ich hatte ja die leise Hoffnung, dass Debs Wild die Kritik zur Band tragen würde. Doch für sie ist der Song ja "poptastic" und soooo toll, also erwarte ich da auch nicht zu viel.

Ich hab sie doch immer noch voll lieb, aber so was wie ETIAW können sie echt nicht nochmal bringen. VLVODAAHF war mir schon zu kommerziell, aber ich konnte mich verlieben, weil ich einfach noch was vom Original-Coldplay gespürt habe ... das kann ich in ETIAW absolut nicht. Es ist einfach nur ein Huschiwuschi-wirmüssenschnellmalwasfürdiefestivalsveröffentlichen-Song. Kein Herz, kein "Nachdenken", nada. Ich hoffe echt, dass die anderen Songs auch auf dem Album auch gut klingen und nicht mit zu vielen Synths verhunzt werden. :uhoh:

Mir gehen gerade beide Seiten voll auf den Keks, blinde Fans und Leute, die nur trollen. Und ich finde ETIAW nachwievor einfach nur schrecklich. Das können die nicht ernst meinen. Das ist keine Entwicklung, das ist Degeneration. :disappointed: Lyrics sind ein Witz und dann besteht das Ding auch hauptsächlich aus Samples, was soll das? Die können so viel mehr.

Actually, my first reaction after the first seconds of ETIAW was "Oh nooo" and I said it out loud. I gave the song a 3/10 and I still can't rate it higher than that. I'm so glad that the new songs don't seem to be anything like ETIAW and I really hope this song won't be on the album so we can pretend it was just a one-time-thing and never happened.

This thread is not going anywhere and that's official.

After my utter disappointment yesterday about ETIAW, I feel so much better today. Big big relief. I do love this song and really hope the album version won't be overproduced.

Yeah, seen that on some unimportant German TV-show about 3 years ago. Innovation.

The results still don't make it a good song. And if you don't care that much what others say, then why do you keep trying to convert everyone and tell us we're wrong?

I'm sorry, Debs. I don't think it's hate, it's disappointment. Maybe that's worse, but I can't help but feeling sad about this development. I don't need poptastic, Yellow is a song you can easily jump up and down to at festivals and it didn't need all those synths and electronic stuff. I don't recognise Coldplay anymore in this song, I could recognise them in VLVODAAHF, but this is just ... I don't even know how to say it, it's just not the Coldplay that I love.

I actually disagree with that. I'm not saying that Chris Martin is normally the world's best lyricist, but these lyrics are bad compared to everything Coldplay has done so far. It does not make any sense, there is no "theme" to these lyrics, they just don't add up.

Uhm, I'm not trying to make anyone hate it. I have an opinion and I have my right to post it. Maybe some people should stop trying to make me love it. :thinking:
