  4. lol at the moaners ruining the thread I was debating the risk of gaining new fans and disappointing old ones by simplifying your music, which Coldplay have done...
  5. It's a deliberate ploy - and explains all of the reactions on the forum so far.
  6. It hit me after hearing the reviews on the radio. THIS IS WHY CHARLIE BROWN WASN'T RELEASED FIRST. Coldplay have deliberately created this single and marketed it first in an undoubtedly deliberate attempt to capture new audiences, as traditional fans would have already heard the new songs via live shows and webcasts (and hence would buy the album regardless). Brilliant idea. So to have established colplay fans being a little surprised by it and feeling a little underwhelmed was all part of the risk :) The universe makes sense.

  13. I'm picking it for the first B-Side to Paradise. Similar to what A Spell A Rebel Yell was for Violet HIll. This is assuming Coldplay release a 7"
