Minus about 4 hours to the start of the listening party! All up-to-date info on the first post as always ! :D Check it out: there are a few updates, including the 15 min break ! (someone suggested 20 min was too much, we´ll try 15 this time and then we´ll see)

If only they would keep that monkey suit on throughout all the 12 minutes, so we can listen to Coldplay alone *LOL* But I did read about a rumour of Beyonce and Bruno dance "duel" or something like that...

If neither will happen then they would certainly be free of an embarrassing situation. Rumours continue to be that she will debut a new song though, apparently the title has been floating around too....We shall see. I still fear she will not only debut a new single but also sing along in Up&Up, thus confirming my fear/theory that Hymn was dropped out of pressure from CA crowd. This SB is one topic in which I constantly hope to be wrong ! :) And Beyonce singing Clocks? Whats next? Rihanna guesting to help with Fix You vocals? Common sense has left the building *LOL*

Someone explain to me how PR-wise can Coldplay now defend their statement at the press conference "We are not going to feature Hymn. It just came out, it would not be right" in light of Beyoncé debuting her new single....

Well Imagine is a great song, no complains there for the dedication haha I never once have doubted and will ever doubt that Coldplay will put up an amazing show. I´ve been to enough Coldplay shows to know and see first hand how professional and amazing they are. No, my big disappointment is that they are not allowed their proper space as Super Bowl 2016 featured artists, that they have conceded so much to "guest appearances", caved in to CA complaints which are likely to have been the cause for no Hymn (obvious choice with Beyonce) and that on top of that the media/people in the USA were already biased against them to begin with. Its really no wild guess that if Beyonce premieres a new song as rumoured, that will be the final nail on the coffin of this sad affair... I have no doubt the time Coldplay will have will be amazing to watch. I just wish they had more time and not be overshadowed by others and their decisions not controlled from the outside (or by their at times way too extreme humble attitude)

I´d say both because both are on the CD! :D Actually I switch them up occasionally hehe To be noted though, the grey one is actually a foreground cut-out on the graffiti colourful background :) On the special edition you have "Mylo Xyloto" on one side and "MX" on the other, both cut-outs with grey as foreground and colourful graffiti as background. Oh and the actual booklet is dual as well. A part is the "right way up" with one cover, a part is the "right way up" with the other *LOL*

We concluded that the lift would be a good idea if the participants are only a few. (I theorised that if future parties had a lot of participants lifting the limit would result in not being able to follow the convo here, but thats not really actual as of now) And yes people posted like crazy last time and many were frustrated about the waiting limit :)

If I recall correctly most people here wanted to remove it altogether as we thought it would work better for us. Is that possible?

I think it will already be deactivated for this listening party. At least I remember [uSER=100956]@stephen[/uSER] confirming that we would try that this time and see if it works to our satisfaction?

I personally prefer to have the small "inconvenience" of synchronising the clock rather than having to listen to anything other than my own CD-quality tracks, but as anything else people can collectively decide what they prefer here ! Im not sure we can decide so close to the start of this listening party though? Especially if in the future we listen to albums like live albums or dedicated B-sides playlists which we decide the order of...it would not be easy with a livestream in those cases and I think its best to make a decision valid for all listening parties as to not confuse people about "clocks, no clocks".

15 minutes can be good too. I can change that in the main post to 15 minutes break after X&Y song (I chose that because its the "official" end of the first part on the vinyl LOL). And yes I think the break is always good to have if anything for the restrooms runs :)

More decisions late in the game *LOL* Im not sure what a lifestream is? It does sound like a good idea! I have to ask though: how about the quality of the stream? I know many will sit with their best headphones to catch the tiniest details we can geek about during the party hehe.

Initially the break was 10 minutes, which I found too short so I changed it to 20 minutes. With some albums the break makes more sense than others (if we have a long listening party or not). I personally think the break should always be there, also to allow people to go to the restroom or whatnot, so they don't have to force themselves to "hold it in" (or drag their laptop to the toilet! LOL). As always all this can be discussed among us, though Im generally not sure it would be a good idea to remove the break for this listening party so "late in the game", because people reading the first post have read about the break being there already. Not sure about this :/

We shall take all that when the time comes to choose the subject of the next party :) So far I´ve posted polls to determine what people want to hear and when. We can definitely use the polls to determine what b-sides to listen to as well, if B-sides from certain eras or others, etc :) Initially after this party, Ill post a poll to decide what to listen to to begin with. "B-sides playlist" can be included in that poll as well

I agree on both the things you said. Good point that the album is long already as it is. Whats your opinion/take on the 20 minutes break after the first part, after "X&Y song"? I can include that info (the moment of the break) in the official instructions on the first post if you guys agree/think its a good idea.

I think its too late to talk about b-sides as we cant be sure people own them or even can/want to listen to them afterwards and in what order and at what time we should synchronise that. It would be nothing short of a nightmare to decide that now imo.... I suggest again a dedicated "b-sides" listening party in the future, where we have plenty of time to decide the order of the playlist, the content, etc. But if you have better ideas, Im listening! :)
