I recently read that despite streaming being popular, piracy has increased. Personally I think CD prices are ok and if I dont care about the plastic case (or the high res music) the price for an album is 50% cheaper on iTunes than on CDs. For streamers for like €10 a month you can listen to all the music you want (except Adele 25 LOL), so I dont know I think the prices are ok imo. Music industry is not doing well though and artists are getting paid less than ever (especially indie ones), so something´s gotta change...

Not sure about the Christmas part hahaha But I have blonde wavy hair, blonde beard and green eyes, so looking at your avatar in small pic it often looks like Im posting when you post (also cuz i have a similar hat I use in the winter haha) LOL

Honestly I dont believe they ever hoped for a number one considering Adele released in November. Everyone knew she´d break records and sell like crazy (except herself I guess LOL). Personally I dont think number one is so important, a slow burner has longer legs...

I have researched this topic for years. I could post a novel LOL My short answer would be that yes I believe people in power have certainly taken advantage and abused their position to influence people in a way they thought would benefit them. I dont believe the music industry is excluded by this, but do I believe for example JK Rowling purposefully put a lot of esoteric imagery in Harry Potter to subliminally transmit the Illuminate agenda? No I dont :) What people often forget is that the symbology is not exclusive to them. Kinda reminds me of Hitler and his distortion and new use of the Svastika symbol.

I am quite familiar with the occult symbols, but because they are so ubiquitous and used since time immemorial for various different purposes and reasons, just because you see them it doesn't mean they are A: put there on purpose (a lot of esoteric symbology is quite embedded in our subconscious as well) and B: that it has anything to do with a certain group of people and their intentions. Things like the trinity, the pyramid , the Horus all seeing eye sure they are associated with the modern-day version of the Illuminati, but they have hijacked symbology which has been here for ages and used by so many others before them. I have no way to prove or disprove whether a certain symbology in a certain context was put there on purpose for certain reasons, but there is a also a case of "if you look for it, you´re gonna find it" and "see things as you want to see them". That said, no way Coldplay is involved in anything remotely occult or nefarious hehe Thats not my logic speaking, its my gut feeling and it has never let me down :D

There are other non Coldplay-related threads in the Lounge if Im not mistaken. There you can make a thread about whatever you want :) There are also other sections like International. Try and go to the main page and take a look around :) Its not a matter of strictness, but thats the whole purpose of a thread: its about a specific topic or intention the author decides. If we all talked about everything in all threads it´d be a mess (not that it doesn't happen occasionally when we chit chat! haha) :)

Kinda reminds me of guitar solos...I dont seem to enjoy the intricate ones just because they are intricate, like the mere factor that they are elaborate does not play a big role in my liking them or not. Jonny can hit 3 notes and he´s got me right there! haha I truly believe music resonates with something deep in our soul, so hard to put your finger on what it is as much as you try there is very little logic to it hehe Then sometimes when you think you got your "formula" all figured out, a song you never thought you´d like surprises you and you like it and you dont know why...and you´re back at square one haha :)

It really is a sad song with a lovely upbeat melody though. Dunno how they managed that combo but they did hehe
