They miles ahead of Waterfall. Also imagine you listen Waterfall on Hi-Fi acoustic system? Imagine you listen it with mid 30-40 years old people? I can't imagine.

Once again, no one wants Parachutes, AROBTH, etc. All we need is Coldplay spirit. It could even in disco song. Waterfall is short lived thing. At least for me. VLV has more unique sound then this single. And I don't really like VLV.

Now I understand why we don't have a release date yet and why Waterfall still officially isn't part of LP5. Because, you know, Waterfall is pretty average. Sure, it's great thing for summer festivals, but summer will ends and what people will listen in winter or years and years later? Now I understood that Coldplay wants to play it safe, they want see ours reactions, and then decided what to do next. Unbelievable. Fcuk, screw LP5, drop Eno and made something new. I don't want my favorite band become Lady Gaga which use existed melodies and can't record something fresh. Jeez. Coldplay fans should rebel. The more critic they will heard today, the more changes we could expect in next albums.

The worst thing - they borrowed the whole melody and motive. In Talk they borrowed motive, but it sounds different. In Waterfall they didn't even change it a bit. Huge disappointment.

I don't like VLV as well. But now I think it's at least better than Waterfall. Well, every band has weak albums, sometime it should happen with Coldplay too. Maybe it would happen with LP5.

Absurd is recording song to catch younger audience. That's what I call absurd. I'm not a hater, even in the weak album it should be at least couple of good songs, or on EP/b-sides/whatever. But you know, in the end, after a weak LP we could expect another great album.

Listen it second time. Mixing feelings. Right from the Don't Panic, first Coldplay song I heard, it's deep, emotional, and clever music. If you have Hi-Fi acoustic system - you enjoy Parachutes, ARoBTH and X&Y even more. The Teardrop sounds like summer hit for 15 years old kids. That's the modern audience which make money for labels today. I can't believe Coldplay choose money and popularity over music. :cry:

Well playing 7 new songs at festivals and releasing album 4 month later doesn't have any sense, but who knows, so far LP5 has the weirdest promotion out of all previous albums.

They've already said it would be 12 songs. Dunno w/ hidden tracks or w/o.

Bad news. But at least it wasn't announced officially, so we can't blame band or EMI. If they would film the gig bootleg video will definitely appear on torrents, like Japan concert from VLV tour or twisted logic show from Canada.

Yes, it is. Reviewers are kind of journo. Especially writers connected with movie industry, music, books, etc. Review after premiere is another story. But no one would twit the movie sucks after closed advanced screening for dozen people half a year before premiere. Well, I don't know why people react so hard. I thought everyone has right for its own opinion, which could be different, you know.
