Perhaps the whole MX isn't worth MTM, that's why they separated them. :shrug: Anyway it's great they released it. I think it's best song from MX era so far and maybe even best song since X&Y, because I don't particularly like one from Viva album (also I like very much Prospect's March EP).

Yep, but only when it will appear on CD and will be sent to stores. Somewhere down the road albums always leaks. Perhaps 3-4 weeks before release date.

UP AGAINST THE WORLD Strangely there are no ETiAW. Also I think they still works on Up In Flames and there is no recording or something like that. The same applies to Car Kids. With latter songs it's roughly 13 songs. Maybe they are working on couple of songs besides this?

Well why they should choose the song every fan has already know? Like MX doesn't have any other songs? Besides I don't think CB is great song/single. It's ok.

Certainly, but I heard CB only 4 times, HLH 3 times because I don't like poor live quality. But still how you imagine a fan who was waiting for new album 3 years reading all this mess with dates and new music direction which wouldn't listen/watch new materials from festivals? I can't imagine such a fan.

And also I don't get what is wrong with X&Y and 60 minute album? Perhaps because you have only 2 hours gig and want pack it with as many new songs as you can? That's the only reasonable explanation. And it has something with promoting, which sadly means more money.

The first date they gave us was Christmas 2009, than it was going further and further. I'm not convinced with Holmes words about new promo formula or whatever and the more he insist everything is going according to plan the more I believe initial release should have been happened in May-June. Of course they wouldn't tell us they fucked up and were forced to delay album. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I have this gut feeling. Touring in winter is a huge risk because you depend upon weather condition and if it's a snowfall tracks with equipment could stuck somewhere. Not a good thing. But gigs only in UK are reasonable decision, it's small territory to cover. They did almost the same with viva tour. As to new-old formula, technically they released only two songs from upcoming album, and they never said they are from new album which will be released somewhere in october, bla-bla-bla. In February or at the beginning of March they knew about when it should be released (toward the autumn quote from EMI) and also letters MX has appeared on official site. Why they didn't give us any clue? It's still a mystery for me. How could you promote something when you even didn't mention this something?? And actually, still technically, Paradise is the first official single for MX. 6 weeks prior release. Ta-da.

Don't want to be rude but I think Holmes told a lot of BS actually to cover album delay because guys were uncertain what is going on with LP5. First of all I feel no excitement after announcement. Because I've already heard around half of the album and except MTM I don't feel songs are really great. Why he doesn't count people who could be turned off the album after ETIAW release? Secondly the promoting has already started with this article so what they can tell us aside how everything are wonderful, cool and perfect. Nevermind that no one is touring during winter and it will be a four month gap between release and tour (except gigs in December). Thirdly he said how this rock formula has worn off and in the same time they are going to use it once again - single exactly 6 weeks prior to album realise. Hypocrisy at it's best. The main question why they didn't give us release date in February? If they have plan. Why no album title when this ETIAW crap was released? This uncertainty has killed all my enthusiasm, don't know about other fans. In the end of course I will buy MX, but I would prefer rather usual May release for the next album with usual summer tour.

Maybe that's why you can't notice difference between good music and bad, new stuff and old. You give every Coldplay song 10 out of 10. Right? It's not even black and white vision, it's only one color, means blindness actually.

So LP6 must be a hip-hop album, LP7 - country, right? Jeez, every time I hear the same bullshit. Different sound is not a problem. But song should be full of something. ETiAW is completely empty, dry and short living thing. On the other hand MTM - classic, moody, sad Coldplay, but yes, with new sound. Is it really hard to understand? Try new sound but keep fire, don't forget about roots, something which made you one of the most successful band in the world.

If it's come from Chris mouth it would be completely the opposite, probably simply MX or kind of. But they check this forum for sure.

This is begin with Eno - more complex sound, less soul and emotional input. I'm looking forward for small, acoustic, with piano LP6 without Eno and bunch of other people.

The biggest problem.. no, the biggest concern I have about new songs is Chris voice. Dunno what is going on with it, but at festivals old songs he performs perfectly, new songs like he is off every time. :shrug:
