after reading all your posts today i have to say that you just sound like a real pain in the ass..the negativity coming from you is sickening... not trying to start a fight or anything but your last post just got to me

they dont look like a '90's boy band..And if they did something 2010's(whatever that would be)Im sure you would say that they arent being themselves,blah,blah,blah

Just wanted to say that if the lyrics were some really deep and dark lyrics,all of you would say that they're trying to hard with these lyrics,why cant they keep it more simple

i wouldnt consider these outfits weird at all.they are just like regular clothing

i dont get what problem people have with the new pics..someone said they are trying to fit in..Fit into what or where??? Also most bands have new pictures taken when new music is coming out..I was just looking at a ton of professional pictures of Arcade Fire,Arctic Monkeys U2 and other bands..So they all do it.. I also love the outfits.When they take the jackets off,its just a tshirt and pair of pants..

I love the new outfits..The colors just seem to go together really well. .Id like to see what they have on under the jackets because they will probably take the jackets off during concerts..

Keddie, I totally agree with your response about the Strokes article that I wrote about.. .I wonder what that person was expecting from them..sounds like she thinks they lied,cheated and G-d know what else..

I was just on the Strokes news website and people are really upset because the Strokes are going to be on the Ellen show next week. So everyone is complaining that they are sellouts,why cant they be like they were 10 years ago,and that they will probably be breaking up soon.And that they are only doing the festivals for the money,why cant they do a real tour. If they did a regular tour,everyone would be complaining about the cost of tickets this is what someone wrote..What do you all think?? As has been said before – i’m all for the band making money – it’s just that they’ve not only compromised the music in doing that but are also no longer offering what they led us to expect from them which is good quality music and an interesting way of presenting it. They’re by no means an avant-garde band that are going to revolutionise music or the very way we listen to music but they still had something exciting to offer. They no longer seem to want to push their sound or perfect it and what’s most upsetting to me is that they seem comfortable in cashing in on a poor product – in other words I resent a band, who I know are capable of so much more, ripping people off with little or no effort and yet being paid ridiculous sums… it’s just a little depressing that they could manipulate their fans into thinking this is all they have to offer. They’re just deliberately refusing to realise their potential and are being rewarded for it. I initially thought they were stepping back from touring the album and really putting much effort into selling it because they were unhappy with the product and didn’t want to push it but they repeatedly seem to be saying that they’re actually just lazy and happy to ride on the commercialism of their brand and pose as something more significant than that.

I think Chris looks great with curls,but I really dont like them when they play festivals..He get so hot and sweaty and then he looks like a mess when he pushes his hair back..

I just read a review of the strokes at the New Orleans festival today..Says they didnt seem into it and cut it short by 30 min.. I just listened to Automatic Stop for the first time and I cant get over how beautiful it is..Since Im a new fan,Im trying to listen to all their music and I cant get over how I just love most of the songs.. Trying Your luck is a beautiful song..

I cant even look at these pictures.It really makes Chris look like a fool..Bigger celebrities then Chris had their pictures taken and no one cared. It really sad.I dont think you can separate private life and business,especially when your work is so much a part of you. And I hate what he is wearing..Everyone looks so nice..I just think its time for him to grow up already. And Im a very big fan of his,but enough..

Im a new fan of the Strokes and have been reading anything I could find on them.. So it makes me sad when I read articles from 10 years ago and they were the best of friends.The articles said they were closer than brothers and all that. From what I read now,it seems that Julian and the others are at odds with each other.Julian did all the vocals on the new album alone in a room..And the other guys said the whole experience was pretty miserable..anyone have any thoughts on this??
