[5-May-2014] Beacon Theatre, New York, USA
I'm really considering just paying for one of the tickets on the reseller sites. I'm dying to go. This might just be the only chance to see Coldplay in a small venue. Most of the concerts I've been to have been in fairly small venues. And being so close to the band is such an amazing feeling. Spending just over a paycheck and a half might be crazy, but I'm tempted to do it.

You might want to do what I was going to do if I got a ticket. I was going to get the latest flight possible that still gives me some breathing room (arrival 3 hours-ish before the concert) and the earliest flight back home. So, I'd arrive, take a cab from the airport to the venue, concert, cab back to airport, sleep a bit by the terminal while I wait for my flight, then sleep the rest of the way home.

Well, it's been an hour. I guess I should probably give up at this point, huh? I'll just have to catch them when they come to Miami for the proper tour.

Congrats! I'm still trying my luck here.

I'm on a similar boat. Monday is my day off from work, so I can easily book a quick flight from Florida to NY for the concert and come back the next morning. Crossing my fingers here.

Youtube channel relaunched!
Thanks man! I'm sure Sparky can add annotations and links in the description for the next episode. He's the one in control of the channel of course. As for the social links in the end of the video, yeah, maybe your right. I usually stray away from adding links to social sites in videos because it feels icky to me. Kinda like pandering to an audience. But, thats solely a personal thing. It probably doesn't feel that way when it's for a site instead of a single person's accounts. I'll keep that in mind.

Official remix single of Midnight (Giorgio Moroder remix) released!
Both Midnight and the Remix are available on the US iTunes store now. Links: Midnight:https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/midnight/id829909653?i=829910894 Remix:https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/midnight-giorgio-moroder-remix/id865311022 EDIT: Also, anyone who has the album bought version of Midnight, what's different about it that makes it shorter? My guess is that the few seconds of silence where the band is standing on the hillside at the end of the video is cut off. Because taking that out, plus the beginning tittle and ending credit seem to get it pretty close to the album time.

Always in my Head - Instrumental Cover
This is really great. I loved it. I'm trying not to listen to new songs too much before the album is out, so I might just listen to this a bunch for my Always In My Head fix, haha.

Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
What he means is that iTunes sometimes starts releasing certain songs as the album release comes closer. They aren't actually proper singles. When the last Kay Perry album came out, they released a new song every week for a few weeks before it was released.

Anyone know anything about this??
It looks like the Live 2012 version of Charlie Brown is on Spotify as a single as well. It also has the blue cover. Strange. http://open.spotify.com/album/3EWmgwDnwgn1Z1Zs9xWbPB

Anyone know anything about this??
Just found this on the Coldplay subreddit and came here to see if anyone made a post about it. Don't know what it is, but I'm buying it ASAP in case it gets removed. I've always wanted a official live version of The Scientist. Especially from the X&Y era shows or the MX era shows. I love the little bits of singing Chris adds near the end of the song. EDIT: It's also on Google Play for those of you who like CBR 320 mp3s - https://play.google.com/store/music/album/Coldplay_The_Scientist_Live_Live?id=Bkdpziueztko5mc47ssffdadxdu

LOVE BUTTON RAFFLE!
Oh wow! I answered so late after the original post I thought I didn't have a chance. This is awesome!

Thanks for the kind words, duder! I PM Sparky with my setup, but I'd be happy to post it here too. I use a Canon 60D for recording and a Rode microphone for audio. I have another, nicer mic, that I use for podcasts and a few other things where I need to record audio separately from the video. I use Final Cut Pro for editing. Time to produce a video can vary. For something relatively simple, it can just be a few hours from recording to export (2-4 hours maybe?). For something a bit more produced like my Best of 2014 videos, it's a couple more hours. A good estimate that I use is an hour of production for every minute of footage. But again, that can vary drastically depending on the project. It can be way less or way more.

I actually happen to be a video editor/director with quite a few years of experience. I'm currently working on a few things, but I wouldn't mind helping out where I can. I've been in front of a camera a lot as well. Most of my stuff can be found online on YouTube if you want any examples. I use the same username pretty much everywhere.

I think the idea of a Coldplaying podcast is great. Here's some bit of feedback: Maybe instead of being solely a news round up, it can be a community podcast. You can make a thread for finding members to guest on each episode and there could be a specific Coldplay related topic for that episode. Google Hangouts or Skype can be used for the calls. And there would be a news section in addition to the general Coldplay discussion since news will probably start coming slower once the album is out. That's just my 2 cents. Some of my favorite podcasts are the more conversational ones where people are just having fun talking about a thing they care about. Games, movie, or in this case, Coldplay!

Ghost Stories Font!
Thanks everyone for your help!

Ghost Stories Font!
Sweet! Speaking of fonts, anyone know the name of the font used for their logo during the Viva Era? Not the pain brush for the album title, the serif font they used for the band name. I know it was Albertus Medium for Parachutes - X&Y, but can't seem to pinpoint the Viva font since it looks like a generic serif font.

Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
I bet there will be a "Deluxe Edition" released digitally at some point with the 3 bonus tracks.

Magic
Man, this is fantastic. Completely threw me off guard how they announced the name for LP6, the release date, the track list, and the lead single all at once. And so soon too! It hasn't even been 3 years since MX yet. I'm excited to see this live at the iTunes Festival show. Surely they'll play it, right?

I am so happy the forum is back...
I usually only post on the forums regularly during the lead up to a new era and the hype during the first few months. Glad to see the forum back up right on time for the new single :D

[29-Jun-2012] Coldplay @ American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL, USA
I am so incredibly excited. My first Coldplay concert. I've been dying to go to one for years and now I can finally do so. Is there gonna be a Coldplayer meet up? It would be great to meet some of you guys and just chat it up before the show.

Now that I finally am working, I was able to buy a ticket. It's behind the stage but I'd rather be there than not go at all. Going alone because all my friends suck. Hope to see some Coldplayers there!
