I don't have the leaked version in iTunes, but when I have the iTunes version in hand, I'll have all three covers in the files. But the one I'll pick as default will be the colourful one.

iTunes has it's songs at 256kpbs. A CD rip's quality is up to you. You can rip it at whatever bit rate you want, the highest being 320 I believe (which is only 1 step above 256)

I tried to wait. I tried oh so hard to wait. But the CP obsessed person in my had to listen to it. And now I'm going to listen to every song that get's streamed minus the ones that haven't been played live already to keep some sort of suspense.

I believe you have most of the lyrics down to the letter! Great job! It's just this line I'm not too sure about. When I listen to it, I continue to hear "One upon a time we're burning bright". And it fits with the later line of "throw water on my flame".

It's definitely "water on my flame". I clearly hear "water". I absolutely love the lyrics to this song. As always, Coldplay knows just how to get to me lyrically.

I thought the line was "throw it in the flame". That's just what I heard.

The only con I can find is that I believe Chris should have done the "Princess/King" verse. "You could have been a princess, I'd be your king" sounds more like what the guy would say. I know Rihanna say's "I could have been your princess" but the rest sounds like she's saying "I'd be your king" not "you'd be my king". But over all, I really enjoyed the song.

I'm in the same boat. So tempted but I want to wait... ahhh!

iTunes has done it before. The last album I bought that I was highly anticipating had previews for all the songs the day the preorders started. Because of that, I'm guessing it's a label thing and not a seller thing.

iTunes got rid of 128 a while ago. All their music is 256.

Yeah, probably. I prefer surface, but pavement does tie it more to graffiti. I just think surface "feels" better (for lack of a better word).

I hope the same happens this time as the last time I pre-ordered an album on iTunes. I got it a day early.

I personally don't think this is an issue. Another one of my favourite artists released an album a few months ago. Unlike MX, iTunes had 90 seconds previews for all the songs, plus the lead single was out. I constantly played the previews multiple times a day and I was still as excited when the album finally dropped 2 months later. Sure, 90 seconds isn't the whole song, but it was the studio version of the songs, so I could guess what they sound like since the majority of the songs were played in the previews. Listening to these lives versions of the MX songs just adds to the excitement of hearing the studio version for me.

It seems like in the last two shows (Letterman and Toronto) Chris changed the lyrics from "Surface are names" back to the "Pavement are names" that he sang earlier this summer when the festivals started.

Earlier today I remembered that Japan would have bonus tracks so I decided to switch my iTunes store to Japan to see if the tracks were up there. They are. The bonus tracks are just live version of Charlie Brown and ETIAW from Glastonbury.

I wish you the best of luck, buddy! Coldplay can melt anyones heart ;P And if things take a turn for the worse (hopefully not), you have the songs on MX to help east the pain. Nothing is a better companion to heart break than movies, candy and Coldplay. Haha.

Catching a bullet in your teeth is a magic trick where, well, it's self explanatory. Being a magic trick, obviously the person is not ACTUALLY catching a bullet in their teeth but in the context of the song, I think it's supposed to signify something incredibly difficult or dangerous .

This quote from her review here seems to indicate that MM is the same as the one released on the EP. "On the album, “Major Minus” is considerably more glossy than it is live, with Martin’s vocals calling out from behind a gauzy layer"

She said she took notes after the listening party once she left since she couldn't take notes while actually listening to the album.
