  2. Yes, the deluxe is a two disc set with a black/dark gray cover and the words VIVA LA VIDA in white across the front. It has the VLV album on one disc and the EP on the other. :D
  3. WOW!!! I absolutely love all of the banners that everyone's made... you guys are all soooo creative! This video is so inspirational too :D
  4. Ooooh I can't wait to see her next fashion one! :D I love her all-around style. I guess I'm weird but I don't care if someone spends loads of money on their clothes. Money is just money... those who have it spend it. As long as you're doing what you can to be good to others, who cares if you treat yourself? :D I love getting a nice pair of jeans every now and then when i can (by nice, in my price bracket, I mean something that's 30-40 bucks LOL) Gywn is a girly girl too... nothing wrong with that! :D
  5. I've got one... Billy Boyd, who plays Pippin in LOTR. Weird, huh? I just think he's adorable, I love his accent and his giggle on the extra stuff when he's hanging out with Dom or one of the other guys. :D
  6. One I Love by David Gray, who is one of my fav musical artists! :D
  7. HAHA!!! I wish I could lol! I would probably be the most popular member on the board them :laugh3: Ohhhhhhhh I can't wait... I got to listen to Viva La Viva before it came out but I'm going to keep being patient and not listen to this one until it's released... *forces self to be strong*
  8. Ohhhhhhhh feel free to screenshot spam anytime you want... or take up uber screenspace! NIIICE!! thank you everyone!! :D
  9. Today I finally found the right info. We are getting 7 copies of the EP, and it will be 12.99. The cover is the cool painting cover one that we've seen (we finally had it on!!!) We are getting 2 copies of Viva La Vida's special edition 2-disc CD, which is going to be priced at 24.99 with a sale price that hasn't been named yet. Our vinyl copy of the EP is going to be 14.99 and we'll be getting two copies. Ours is a relatively smallish store, so if we are getting that many, your local store should be too :D We will have them for sale November 25th... I can't wait!!! We should be getting them in soon... possibly next week. YAY! As soon as they come in, I'll let you know what they look like hehe.
  10. I can't wait to get home from work and hopefully see some cool news on this! Thanks for the info guys!!
  11. Our database (we order things through a site called WebAMI) shows the EP and the special edition VLV both on physical discs... I think the EP showed it'll be about ten bucks and the special edition VLV looks like it'll be somewhere around 17 dollars in our database. Today I'll look more closely and get back to you guys!!
  12. I can't waaaaaaait too. I have been checking and checking and checking the computer lol. Our computer still hasn't updated the cover art though... it has a paperclip and says, "album cover coming soon." grrr. I made sure to show it to my coworkers though lol. They were just like, "eh... Coldplay." HAHA Ohhhh I can't wait. I refuse to listen to any performances or clips at ALL because I want the whole thing to be a surprise!!! :D

I agree! Sometimes a good name will stick with you even when it doesn't work for a story, and you just can't make it go away. I have name stuck in my head, "Venice Lovecraft" and that name doesn't want to leave! It'll show up sometime later, I'm sure of it. :D Now, novel names is another issue entirely. I'm terrible with those! I'm lucky to have one when I'm FINISHED! My current novel is very strange, because the name for it came before the story. I literally got the idea from the name...
  14. hey guys, maybe I can be a bit of help. I'm the assistant manager of a music store (part of an outlet chain). We have it on preorder status right now and as far as I can tell from today, it will be in stores and available on the Tuesday originally announced. Our store gets games late but generally ALWAYS gets CDs on time. We have the EP listed, the special edition Viva La Vida AND the EP on vinyl (we sell new and used records as well as CDs) I will investigate more tomorrow and see what I can find out. I've been keeping an eye on it though! I'm uber excited!! Also, one more note: Our price for the EP looks to be around ten/eleven bucks :D
  15. Acoustic version of the Scientist... lovely :D
  16. Lyric, that's such a lovely picture... as a writer, I'm always geeked to see artists writing... it's one of the most beautiful, blissful places in the world... lost in paper, pen and words. :D Thanks for sharing. :D
  17. I know everyone is talking about change and I think it's very important to make concrete goals and not just use the word as a mantra. All of us working together can make some awesome changes in a good way... I would love to share some of the ideas I have and for you guys to share some of your ideas! This way we can think about things we can do to help those around us and help ourselves. 1. Support your local businesses. This can't be said enough! Buying from farmers in your area will save you money! The less our food has to be transported, the less expensive it is... and you know your local farmers will appreciate the extra money! Also, shopping at your local music store, for instance, keeps music artful and expressive. If everyone only shops at Wal-Mart, Wal-Mart will put everyone else out of business and control the music you can listen to and the things you're allowed to buy. I don't want that and I know you don't! Also, keeping local businesses going creates more jobs! 2. be more responsible with our natural resources. Plan ahead of time so you can cut back on trips you have to make, so you can carpool, etc. Do little things like turning off the water when you're not using it! Educate yourself so you can do better with those things. 3. Donate, give, support, share. With those poorer than you, with your library, etc. Think, get creative about how you can do something good for someone else around you. I might add more later but I'm looking forward to what you guys have to say! We all need to work together and take responsibility for our own actions... not just expect people in Washington to! ;)
  18. I am dreamy because I came home from a very long day at work and my friend (who is only a halfish Coldplay fan) sent me a SNL backstage thing and Chris was dancing and it made me happy. LOL

So you are a writer too, 2732??? I'm a novelist... I would love to talk books with you some time :D As for names, I'm an eater and breather of names. I own a stack of baby name books, a lot of which i got used for 25cents to a dollar. I loooove names. I find the best way to pick names is to say them out loud several times, see how they roll around in your mouth (just like you might do for a baby!) and also ALWAYS write them out several times. Trust your fingers ;) I'd love to hear about your story! :D
  20. Today towards the end of the day I started feeling a little better about things. I hope Obama keeps to his promises to really help us get creative about alternate power, recycling, etc. I would love to see new ideas open up about fuel, especially. This is the big chance to stop blaming our fuel prices on Republicans, hurricanes or Martians or whatever. Democrats are going to get their chance to prove that they can really make the fuel problem better. (can they? not without our help. No one can without our help.) At least things won't be blamed on the right anymore and Democrats will get a chance to put their money where their mouth is. I say this with hope, not sarcasm. It's gonna mean work on all of our parts. Getting a new president is just the beginning of the journey. Although, I am a little concerned when people start saying, "Let's have a..." and then make up a list of traits. Our presidency shouldn't be based on flavor of the month or new and exciting. Just because you're black or white, male or female, doesn't make you a good leader. I hope our country hasn't gotten to where we'll choose someone just to break a record or something. I don't know about you guys, but I'm glad the election is over... and I'm gonna buckle down and get back to work. Today was very slow at my store, sadly... :( Of course, supporting your local businesses is a different conversation. Maybe i'll start a thread!! :D
  21. I'm heading to bed now... Just as concerned for our country as yesterday. It's going to take a lot more than a president to fix the mess we're in... :( Good night everyone.
  22. That's a very good point, StrawberryFields. A lot of reporters also made it sound like he got votes from black people because he's black... as if people can't vote on issues they believe in and not only skin color. That would be like voting for a candidate because he's handsome rather than smart. that works for a beauty contest but not for the president of the United States.
  23. I'm just sorry race has been such an issue in the last few decades after all of the hard work, sweat and toil of people thirty/forty/fifty years ago, that people would have to make a big deal now because of our president's skin color. I never considered either candidate by their skin color, and certainly wouldn't have been celebrating another candidate winning because he or she had a certain color skin. I met a lot of people who said they were voting for Obama because he was black. I don't think your skin color should be the deciding factor, I certainly hope mine isn't! So many people worked very hard for our country to be equal... and it just seems to be going against that to still be making such a hard point about that now. :(

10 because Chris just looks so freakin' happy in that pic!
  25. ^^Your Gandhi quote is fantastic, by the way. It's very, very true... what we think does become what we do and what we do becomes what we are. *thumbs up*
