that doesn't mean that they are not talented ;) that is just what they are, that's sort of...her thing. she is a very very modest and shy person...private too.but she is also very very nice and polite and believe me,she sings like an angel. of course, some might not like it, but believe me, they are very talented. ;) no need to edit your post come on :P

yeah, exactly... some here say that they have lack of melody? just because they are completely different than coldplay don't mean they are bad... their music is really deep, dark and requires attention and focus... if someone was to hear Wandering Star and Roads live , like I was blessed a couple of weeks ago, they would be stunned. have you EVER heard them live? they are absolutely flawless at what they do. this is not the commercial music as coldplay is , and if you are hating on the band just because they might not like coldplay, then that is absolutely childish and ridiculous. and yeah, maybe he was just hating on how Coldplay focus on many other stuff than music which can seem a bit... poser. like their clothes, and all that visual approach and stuff, let's face it, they do pay a whole lot of attention on that, to accompany the music. musicians like Portishead are very much dedicated to music only, and that's why Geoff might be against the fireworks and stuff.

Yeah, exactly, some Radiohead songs that people adore are just average to me, and vice versa. Never really got Airbag for example...

nothing is wrong or very wrong with me , dude, I just don't like them. That's all. I heard them live, and I don't like their music,it seems very generic and chaotic at the same time, it's very forgetable to me, and that's it. Like their songs have no memorable structures, hooks etc. This coming from someone who always gives a chance to music which is not "on the first listen" - I have gone through their music a couple of times and still find it dull. Respect to the fans and the band of course, just really really dislike the music. So I expect that people who like Arcade Fire respect my opinion too. Thanks

see, to me that is what is astonishing - with all these instruments they don't wake a single emotion in me, and i am a pretty emotional person myself, especially when it comes to music (not an emo bitch though :lol: ) - i do respect their musicianship but when it comes to the approach, nada for me. I love Coldplay too :laugh3:

must be just me , but dear Lord there is nothing authentic about the sound of Arcade Fire. I can NEVER remember ONE song by them, one melody.. NOTHING! saw them live on a festival and wanted to shoot myself. respect, but can't understand the fame about them... Coldplay is much more melodic and authentic
