Surfer dude Chris Martin rides the waves in The Hamptons
Done already so you Lounge people don't get any CP news. :P

Arcade Fire
I didn't get round to listen to the older tracks but I listened to The Suburbs again yesterday. "City with no children" is standing out now, I love the track. Well, I never said I don't like it, just that I don't agree with reviews like "best indie album of the decade" etc... I'm just in posting-mood and wanted to say that my tiny unimportant self is liking the record more now. :escaping3:

Big Mac or Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs?
I had a Big Mac last night. :escaping3:

Pearl Jam
Haha, I can see you're all pretty convinced they're better. Aww, that's nice, but a recommendation of like... let's say about 5 songs would be awesome already! What other tracks would you suggest I should listen to to get to know PJ better? Like I said, so far I only know Eddie's Into The Wild soundtrack...

Pearl Jam
My physiotherapist is a biiiiiiig fan of them, in fact you could call him a proper fanboy hahaha. He's jokingly teasing me for liking Muse and Coldplay and says he'll make a CD for me - but only after I've been to Wembley because otherwise I wouldn't be able to still enjoy Muse because I'd love Pearl Jam even more. He's adorable. I downloaded their Austin City Limits performance for him and I quite like it I must say. Don't know if that was a representative setlist though. :uhoh:

Your Favorite Electronica
This needs a bump! Great songs / artists mentioned here btw. I've seen "Berlin Calling" recently and since then I just need to listen to the soundtrack from time to time... I've worked at a minimal party which was once a month for more than a year and although it was so extremely stressful, this movie made me miss the parties actually! Never thought I'd say I missed them. (The music was good but not the people attending the party who made working at the bar hell sometimes). So here's another plug for Paul Kalkbrenner and the amazing soundtrack: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sHAxy0NglY]YouTube- Train - Paul Kalkbrenner[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKxqOqLIsls]YouTube- Paul Kalkbrenner - Azure[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zwlq4Bv4SM]YouTube- Paul Kalkbrenner sky and sand Video[/ame] Oh and this one's not so well known I think but I love the typewriter sound. :awesome: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E18vNqxZ4ak]YouTube- Boys Noize - Let's Buy Happiness[/ame]

Massive Attack
Hi Christa!! :cheesy: I don't know the cover you're talking about but I bet you'll love Massive Attack!! Don't know if you were watching House when it started but they used Teardrop as the intro song. You could start listening to the Best Of album, that one's pretty good.

Virtual friends
Cool, more meet-ups taking place! Julia, I think I saw you in the queue in Düsseldorf, but I'm not sure. :uhoh: Were you queuing on the right entry (entering the arena from the left?) Elena and me thought we recognised you from further away... LESS than a month! How long did we wait to be able to say this?  So are you! And no, I didn't pay her to say this.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
And Sven's question: August 11, 2010 - submitted by Svenky, France Q. Hi Oracle ! It's true or not? From twitter: "Chris Martin wrote the song Yellow after a family holiday to Osaka in 1996". Thank You Sven The Oracle replies: Yellow wasnt written until 1999 so no that's not at all true. There wasn't a family holiday in Osaka either! The twitter page you saw will have absolutely no connection to anyone in the band so is not a trusted source of information. God only knows where people get some of this stuff from in the first place...

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
August 11, 2010 - submitted by Jim, United Kingdom Q. Oracle, A while back you answered a question about Chris not playing the guitar on Yellow in Live 2003. Why did he not want to play? And do the technicians/backstage people play some instruments that the band can't/don't want to play? Also, do you think Chris Martin looks a bit like Formula 1 driver Jenson Button, or is it just me?! Jim The Oracle replies: At that time Chris wanted to do something different during the song to make it more interesting for the audience and for himself. It was decided that Matt McGinn would play the guitar part on that tour but generally speaking the techs don't play instruments; the band do. There are occasions where backing tracks are used for instance, the introduction to Life in Technicolor... You're not the only one to comment on a similarity between Chris and Jenson but although I see why people say that, I don't really think its a great likeness.

--> That's what I wanted to say as well. :) And Dejan, you're not making any friends with your choice of words here. :nice:
