  1. I hardly ever post around here, but after hearing this song, I just had to. I'm honestly not a fan at all. Decent song if you want to get on the radio and get plays, but otherwise... it sounds like every other track that's being put out there. This song doesn't feel like it has a heart at all, just something to get on the radio and sell. I'm so incredibly disappointed. I love LOVE Coldplay and the lads, but this is something I just can't get on board with. :sad2: 4/10 and that's being generous on my part.
  2. NFL All Injury Team - Offense: QB - Ben Roethlisberger RB - Willis McGahee RB - Maurice Jones-Drew WR - Greg Jennings WR - Dwayne Bowe TE - Rob Gronkowski OL - Philadelphia's OL
  3. The Scientist made me cry when I saw them this past summer. I wasn't the only one crying either. It's such an amazing and emotional song. It caught me off guard, nothing like hearing it live with people singing along. It was beautiful.
  4. I'm just happy there's going to be an LP6.
  5. It's not limited edition. There's quite a bit of the non-atomic version of it (G6900A-9) on eBay and Amazon. It's the atomic model (GW6900A-9) that's a little harder to find, but it's still not limited edition. They're basically the same watch except for that atomic feature. The blue one (DW6900MM-2) is a limited edition, pricey and hard to find. They pop up in eBay once in a while. The red (DW6900CB-4) and pink (DW6900CS-4) are very easy to find and much less cheaper than the other two.
  6. Alright, here's my review: That was the best and most fun concert I've gone to. Even my brother enjoyed it, and I had to drag him to come with me. He really got into it from the beginning when the Xylobands started to light up. I was into it the moment the Back To The Future theme started. As a Coldplay fan there is nothing better than being at there and having an absolute blast singing along with fellow fans. I appreciate the things the band does to make it an even more fun experience. Seeing those Xylobands light up during the songs is just wow. Seeing it in videos is nothing compared to seeing it live. The songs were great. The guys did a fantastic job performing them. I've always thought they sound better live than in studio. I was glad to finally hear Warning Sign live since it's actually a favorite of mine and I've never heard a live version of it. I'd pick a favorite but I'm going to have to list the whole setlist. Lol. That's probably because the setlist was really strong. They started strong and ended strong. But I'm pretty sure my brother's favorite from the show was Speed of Sound. I heard him sing the loudest during that. Overall, it was one hell of an experience. I highly suggest seeing them as many times as you can. It's that good. Also, word of advice: go crazy and enjoy. Jump all you want. Scream all you want. But most importantly, sing as loud as you can. It's so much more fun that way.
  7. Will be posting my review later on when I get off work!
  8. Did you hear the guy that was talking on his phone at the very beginning. He was bragging about CM sweating on him  But yes, I heard those women. And I think the woman beside me on seat 2 probably went deaf. When the guys ran by I started screaming and I saw her cover her ears out the corner of my eyes. hahahaha
  9. It's a 12x optical zoom lens for the iPhone. $40 on eBay. Just search 12x zoom iPhone or something along those lines. I came prepared with that and a battery extender. lol
  10. @ColdplayKen my brother and I were beside you! We were on seats 3 and 4. When the guys ran by.. alkjfl;ajflkaj!!!
  11. My brother and I will head out in about an hour and half. See you guys there!
  12. So out of nowhere I decided to finally go. I almost bought tickets 2 months back, but decided against it since I didn't know if I could go. Now I got the money and someone to go with. I'll be at the floor, section 7, row b. Might have to bring out the heels for this one. lol.
  13. I think both the live and studio versions are equally good. This probably my favorite track from the album. I love the fast tempo, it has me bouncing on my seat wanting to get up and dance. :)
  14. A Rush of Blood to the Head is still the best. Parachutes and VLV ties for second, imo. I'm still waiting for that album that will top ARoBttH because MX isn't it by a mile.
  15. You'll be surprised that if you actually read some of those bad reviews that they are mostly half assed reviews. Some of them honestly feels like the reviewer didn't even bother listening to the whole album before giving a review. I wouldn't worry to much about it.
  16. I have a feeling it might be Princess of China, even though I think Hurts Like Heaven and Charlie Brown are better tracks..
  17. What song do you guys think would end up being the Yellow/Clocks/Fix You/Viva La Vida of this album? I don't necessarily mean the best song in the album, just that one song that in the album that everyone recognizes immediately and associates with the album. Just like how every time Parachutes is mentioned, Yellow is also mentioned and etc.
  18. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcaVZKjdVA4&feature=player_embedded]Glee 3x03 - "Asian F" Promo (HD) - YouTube[/ame] I have absolutely no problem with them being on Glee. The only problem I have is the fact that Will Shuester is singing it. From what I've heard so far I'm not going to be a fan of that version. I do like the added background singers, it makes it seem like a live version of Fix You. :)
  19. Thank you guys for the help! I'll check those place out.
  20. I hope this is the right place to post this... So I got The Singles collection last week and just tonight I accidentally knocked over my turntable which unfortunately had the The Scientist vinyl in it. When I picked my turntable up, the vinyl was caught between the body of the turntable and the dust cover. Now there's a rather big scratch in my vinyl.. I was wondering if anyone had an individual The Scientist vinyl up for sale..? It's my favorite song too.
  21. When it comes to popularity, Coldplay is the most recognized. Coldplay is, no doubt, a commercial success. Radiohead could be as big as Coldplay if they want to, but I think they just choose not to. I like both bands along with U2. They're are my top 3 favorite bands.
  22. My long overdue review. Well starting off my brother and I where two of the Oxfam volunteers. We got to Pelham at around 2PM and we decided to hang out a the Oak Mountain Park while we wait. We got to the venue around 4:30 and waited in front of the box office as we were told. We talked a little bit with the other volunteers who were all really nice and cool. Around 5, Soha came out with somebody to unlock the gates for us. We headed for the tent, introduced ourselves, we were given instructions and such, we got our gears(fanny packs, umbrellas, clipboard, bandannas, etc.). We did a little practicing of approaching people and such. We also talked about the CD give away at the end of the concert and see how we can improve from the last two concerts. From then on we were pretty much just walking around talking to people, getting them to sign the petition. I saw two of my friends, whom I gave my original tickets too(which I found out later wasn't all that bad, they got a really good up close of the band). Time went by pretty fast during that and next thing I knew it's time to go to our seats. We all met up at the tent and Soha gave us our tickets. We had a few minutes of waiting and finally the cue song came on and the band came in with sparklers.. so cool! LiT was amazing, kinda wish I was there for the full version though. I love the screen, the lighting, and all the crazy stuff the band did during their set. It was a really enchanting show and I couldn't help but be mesmerized by all of it. Chris is INSANE.. and I LOVE him for it. I love the little antics he did throughout the show. I was so glad that they sang Politik because it's become one of my favorites after hearing it in the Live 2003 album. I love the yellow balloons being thrown up in the air during Yellow. It was nice actually hearing the songs live.. it's so much better. As for my brother he was beside me taking (not so well) pictures. He'll never admit it, but I know he had a lot of fun too. (I may have dragged him into going with me). When the band ran to the stage near the back I thought I was about to die. My friends were sitting practically right in front of them! I kinda regret giving them those tickets now. They sang Green Eyes, Death Will Never Conquer, and I'm A Believer.. which was interesting. We did a cellphone wave about 3 times. Chris asked the crowed if they're in love and if so sing 'ooh'. He then asked the same to Johnny, Guy and Will.. hilarious. But I admit I kinda thought the crowd was a little.. lame in comparison to what I expected. Oh well, I had fun singing along, clapping, dancing, and shouting along with (the bubbly) Seri, who was also an Oxfam volunteer. After Lovers In Japan the rest of the volunteers had to go to the gates and get ready to hand out the CDs. I thought that part went pretty well, nothing bad happened and I think most of everyone who wanted a CD got it. There was a part when the big crowd started leaving.. that was a little overwhelming. I was practically pushed up against the table because there were so many people. It wasn't so bad, and it's kinda funny when people try to grab an empty box or they make up some excuse about getting one for someone else. After handing out the CDs, I got my merchandise. It was my first Coldplay concert so I HAD to have at least a t-shirt. I bought 2 t-shirts, one with the sepia picture of the band and the LiT one, which I'm wearing right now. I wanted to get the hat like the one Johnny wears but I was short $5, so I thought I'd just get online. I found out yesterday that it's not online anymore. :( . My brother and I got back to the tent one last time to say goodbye. We got a few things like some pamphlet about Oxfam, a petition sheet, and some other stuff. We said goodbye to Soha and then left. We didn't get home till about 1AM and I was pretty sore, tired and my voiced cracked a little bit, but I was all worth it. I felt really good about volunteering for a good cause and I definitely want to do it again. I'm more interested about Oxfam now and I'll probably consider some of the ideas the other volunteers and Soha had talked about, other ways I can help Oxfam.
  23. FRICK YEAH! I won the radio contest, now I'm just waiting for them to call back. Luckiest day ever!
